Borehole Manager Overview Video

Watch a quick introductory video about the RockWorks Borehole Manager.

The Borehole Manager is a relational database used to store surface and subsurface information.  It is used to create striplogs, cross-sections, contour maps, 3D block models and more. Borehole Manager features are included in RockWorks Standard and Advanced.

Logs, Log Sections and Log Maps

Create individual logs or multi-log cross sections and maps in 2D and 3D.  Arrange log columns using the interactive design window.  RockWorks displays both vertical and deviated/inclined wells.  These features are included in RockWorks Basic, Standard, and Advanced Levels.

Maps

Use RockWorks to create a variety of 2D and 3D maps from your borehole data.  These features are included in RockWorks Basic, Standard, and Advanced Levels.

Cross Sections

Create single- and multi-panel 2D cross sections of geologic data: interpolated lithology, stratigraphy, quantitative data, fractures, and aquifers. Include source log data, borders, titles, legends.  These features are included in RockWorks Standard and Advanced Levels.

Fence Diagrams

Create three-dimensional slices through surface-based models, as well as block models. These features are included in RockWorks Standard and Advanced levels.

3D Solid Models

Use RockWorks to create continuous 3D "solid models" or "block models"  of your downhole geochemical, geophysical, or geotechnical measurments; observed lithology materials; color categories; fractures; and vectors/voids.  These features are included in RockWorks Standard and Advanced Levels.

Data Types

Use RockWorks to store and interpolate lithology, stratigraphy, geophysical, geochemical, fracture, and water level data.

Database Tools

Data is stored in a SQLite or MDB database, or SQL Server (Advanced Level only) Database.
