  1. Interestingly when I reassign the project coordinates to a Local Grid System without converting the values (I was working in UTM WGS84 Zone 31N) and change the row headers in the datasheet from UTM meters to local meters the scan datasheet function works perfectly. Is this function not compatable with working in UTM?
  2. Hi, I have a utilities datasheet populated with xyz data and a g-value denoting colour (the stratigraphy). I am trying to generate a solid model from this data. I am using the Scan Data Sheet Function to scan the datasheet and define my output model dimensions. The resulting Output Dimensions are nowhere near where they should be. When I manually specify the Output Dimensions (derived from taking the xy data and plotting it on a graph in excel to show the data distribuition) then I get stuck trying to build the solid model as none of the nodes are picked up. Please can you help? Thanks
  3. Apologies, please ignore post above... When filling out the datasheet with the coordinates of the image panel make sure you specify the correct unit of measurement for the XY coordinates!
  4. Hi, I'm using the Utilities>Imagery>Vertical Images to x/y/z/colour function to generate a table of xyzg values from some bitmap cross sections I have. I have defined my output model dimensions to cover the area of the crossections and have set up the data sheet correctly with file names and min/max coordinates etc for the bitmaps. I can run the application fine and generate 3D models showing the point data. However, when I close the 3D view and look at the data sheet where the generated xyzg data is presented the X and Y values are completely wrong and would not plot anywhere close to my data; is there a bug here or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
  5. Hi Tom, Thanks for looking at this. The files, in the zipped folder titled 'G130048U_Race Bank LiDAR Topo Model' have been uploaded as requested. Regards Chris
  6. Hi, I've generated a 3D grid from some LiDAR data. The task appeared to be simple but the generated 3D model only shows all of the surfaces when i select the image and tilt/rotate it. A small portion of the data (over a thin elevation range) is visible all the time. When I create a 2D map as well as the 3D model the 2D map only shows contours for the visible data in the 3D model. I saw from a 2008 post on this forum that a similar problem had occured in the past and a bug was found relating to automatic setting of project dimensions. I have re-set the project dimensions to the exact bounds of the xyz data for the LiDAR but this has not helped; any advice? Chris
  7. Hi, Having set up my P-Data Types with specific column orders, I've pasted my values into the data sheets for my boreholes. Data fits fine in the dataset but when I go to confirm and it copies back the data has all shifted into the wrong columns. I can go back into P-Data Types and re-order by clicking on the top of the order column and this temporarly orders it back into the right columns, however everytime I come back to the borehole it has re-ordered into the wrong columns again. This means the models i'm producing are using the wrong results for the variable i've defined. Any ideas? Chris
