A note about file syncing while working in Rockworks. When your projects are stored in programs like OneDrive or Dropbox, you may experience delays in saving from RockWorks or receive errors about the database being unavailable (unable to save). This is because both programs are trying to sync simultaneously. If you want to avoid this inconvenience, please pause the SYNC feature in the storage programs while working in RockWorks.

(025) 03/31/25/JPR - Bug Fix:

The Borehole Operations / Stratigraphy / 2D Isopach Map / 2D Grid Map / Peripherals / Color Legend no longer lists negative numbers if the Truncate Base option is enabled and the superface grid extends below the subface grid.

(024) 03/30/25/JPR - Improvement:

The RockPlot3D “speed button” panel has been significantly improved and many options have been added. Click to view this Write Up and learn more.

(023) 03/28/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

Labels for 2D Striplogs were incorrectly plotted when "Omit Columns with No Data" option was set. BorePlot was changing the downhole calculations to Unwind overriding the "Plot Vertical"/"Plot using True Vertical Depth" in "2D Striplog Section" | "Striplogs" | "Projection"

(022) 03/25/25/JCJ - Improvement:

The user may now import dimensions from a TIFF file without elevation data, as long as the file contains georeferencing data.

(021) 03/22/25/JPR - Cosmetic:

A typo ("Stratraphy") has been corrected within the striplog text section of the 2D striplog designer.

(020) 03/22/25/JCJ - New Feature:

The Vertical Separation and Thickness Cutoff options within the Layered Stratigraphy Model / Diagram sub-menus now show the vertical project units so that the user knows what these numbers represent.

(019) 03/21/25/JCJ - New Feature:

We've added an option to define project dimensions or subsite dimensions from a polygon that is already saved to the polygon table. The polygon table dialog allows importing from another project from a datasheet, or from a text file.

(018) 03/21/25/JCJ - Improvement:

There are improvements to the RockPlot 3D | Wavefront Obj Export for better viewing in external programs. The top of the legends are now calculated in the same way for Color, Stratigraphy and Lithology legends.

(017) 03/21/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

Added a "Color" tab to the Utilities | Planes | XYZ & Dips to Profile menu. The program was using the values from this tab without displaying it.

(016) 03/20/25/JPR - Cosmetic:

"Hydrostratigraphy" has been renamed to "HydroStrat" within the 3D Log Designer.

(015) 03/20/25/JPR - Cosmetic:

The RockPlot2D / File / Export / DXF / Output menu no longer refers to KMZ files. Instead, it now correctly refers to DXF files.

(014) 03/19/25/JCJ - New Feature:

Borehole Manager | Edit | Update Symbols - Can now update either or both Raster and Vector symbols, in addition to other options.

(013) 03/19/25/JPR - Improvement:

Dragging the edges and corners of RockWorks forms has been significantly improved. The form contents are no longer redisplayed as the mouse is moved. Instead, a faint outline is displayed during the dragging process to show the new dimensions and the form is re-displayed when the mouse button is released. This eliminates the flicker and the sluggish response.

(012) 03/19/25/JPR - Improvement:

It is now much easier to resize RockWorks forms because the margins that surround them have been increased.

(011) 03/19/25/JPR - Improvement:

The Maximize button within the upper-right corner of RockWorks windows is more consistent when toggling between the maximized state and the previous non-maximized state.

(010) 03/17/25/JCJ - Improvement:

You can now save Peripherals and other sub-menus in Playlists.

(009) 03/11/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

RockPlot3D diagrams with legends, will export to Sketchfab (OBJ file) and show the legend as intended.

(008) 02/03/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

Changed saving the Wavefront Obj Export file to use the low level file writing and avoid an integer overflow.

(007) 01/29/25/JPR - Improvement:

Added a warning when loading a Project Image that the World file and Manual coordinates must match the Project's Coordinate Reference System.

(006) 01/29/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

Fixed the function that appends the Project folder to a filename if no folder is specified (i.e., when only a filename is provided). This problem affected the loading of various file types, including XY data files, RwDat files, XY pair files, and profile data. It also occurred when importing files (Text or Excel) from a playlist.

(005) 01/28/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

When editing Playlist items, if there is a duplicate item created because the user changed a variable, duplicate playlist items will be deleted.

(004) 01/24/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

RockPlot3D files that contain cutouts will show when loaded into RockPlot3D instead of failing to load.

(003) 01/24/25/JCJ - Bug Fix:

Normalizing the P-Data no longer generates an error if a null value or zero value is encountered in the chosen data type.

(002) 01/02/25/JPR - Improvement:

The Undefined sub-menu settings within the solid-modeling Special Options sub-menu now works correctly when set to a user-defined value.
