Guest Molly Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I do not see the bug report with this posting. Can you email the bug report to me directly? Thanks Molly molly@rockware.com
Heather Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I too am having this problem and posted the bug report today via email to the support address. Incidentally I am also receiving a Kriging Error (1023): unable to start simplex. I'm not sure if the two issues are related? Thanks, Heather
c-bunting Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi, I am also having this problem. Has anyone got a solution?
Guest Molly Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 In general, it's really helpful for the RockWare support staff to see a copy of the "bug report" that the program generates when an error occurs. This tells us which menu option you were running, what version of the program you are using, etc. If you're connected to the internet when the error occurs, you can click the Send Bug Report (or Email Bug Report) button to send the report to us. By default it should go to our general support email (support@rockware.com). More specifically, Floating Point errors are usually data related, so it's additionally helpful to see your data and program settings. Because this becomes a user-specific conversation, it's more easily done via email than via this forum. We may ask you to use the Project | Archive Database to ASCII menu command in RockWorks to create a zip file with your data and menu settings. This zip file can be emailed to us, if we so request. Thanks Molly Mayfield molly@rockware.com
Guest terry Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Hi, What is the solution to this bug? I am also having this problem!
Guest Molly Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 A Floating Point Division by Zero error is often data-related. So diagnosing this via the forum with no additional information is a bit like calling a physician and conveying over the phone that you have a headache. 1. Please email the Bug Report to tech @ rockware.com - this gives us complete information about what the program is doing when the error occurs. 2. Please use Project | Archive Database to ASCII and also email us the resulting ZIP file. This allows us to see the data and program settings. We are very happy to troubleshoot, provided this information. Thanks, Molly Mayfield RockWare Inc.
