Explore RockWorks diagrams in your browser

The RockPlot3D Web Viewer opens RockWorks .Rw3D diagrams for interactive viewing. Files selected from your computer are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded.

Getting started

  1. Select Open or Choose an Rw3D file.
  2. Choose a RockWorks .Rw3D file. You can also drag the file onto the viewer.
  3. Wait while the diagram is read and drawn. Large diagrams may take several minutes.

A diagram opened from the RockWorks 3D Gallery or from a RockWorks HTML export loads automatically.

Linked files: A portable Rw3D includes its referenced images. A conventional Rw3D may require its linked image files to remain available beside the diagram.

Troubleshooting

The diagram takes a long time to load

Large or detailed diagrams require more time to decompress, interpret, and draw. Leave the tab open while the loading message is displayed.

The viewer does not reflect a recent update

Refresh the page while holding Ctrl, or use Ctrl+F5, to replace cached website files.

Some images are missing

Re-create the diagram as a portable Rw3D so referenced images are included, or keep the linked files available in their original locations.
