RockWorks/17 Revision History
2017/Q2
(04/01/17-06/31/17)
(051) Bug Fix (06/23/17/MIW): The Utilities | Map | 3D Points program no longer generates a "Could not convert variant ..." error.
(050) Bug Fix (06/23/17/MIW): The Utilities | Hydrology | Flowlines program no longer generates a "Could not convert variant ..." error.
(049) Bug Fix (06/23/17/MIW): Draped images now show the correct colors within RockPlot3D.
(048) Bug Fixc (06/23/17/MIW): The State Plane Index map now properly lists Florida zone 903.
(047)
Bug Fix (06/23/17/MIW): The Delete View option within RockPlot3D is now visible.
(046)
New Feature (06/23/17/MIW): The Drape and Rectify programs can now drape an image over a selected portion of a grid.
Note: The selected rectangle must be within the grid.
(045)
Bug Fix (06/23/17/MIW): Images are now plotted in the correct location when draping a RockPlot3D drawing with Peripheral
Images.
(044)
Improvement (06/19/17/MIW): Importing
a Multi-Table text file into the
Borehole Database no longer defaults to Local Meters if the units aren’t
specified within the text file. Instead,
the program now defaults to the current
project units if the units aren’t specified within the text file.
(043)
Improvement (06/19/17/MIW): The Visible Menus options within the basic
license now include the Borehole Manager
Map and Strip Log menus.
(042)
Improvement (06/19/17/MIW): The EZ-Section correlation panels now all
use the same min/max values when
computing the color scheme.
(041)
Improvement (06/16/17/MIW): The borehole titles at the top of the new Stratigraphy and Lithology picker
programs are now a bit smaller to accommodate
boreholes that are close together.
(040)
New Feature (06/16/17/MIW): Clicking on the docked panel within the new Stratigraphy
and Lithology picker programs will now undock
the panel.
(039)
New Feature (06/16/17/MIW): Clicking
on the Close button within floating
panel within the new Stratigraphy and
Lithology picker programs will now reset
the layout.
(038)
New Feature (06/16/17/MIW): A Reset button has been added to the Stratigraphy and Lithology picker
programs to restore the original startup
layout.
(037)
Improvement (06/16/17/MIW): The New button within the Stratigraphy and
Lithology picker programs no longer returns the user to the main menu. Instead, the user may now select different
boreholes and change other options and resume the process without restarting the process from the main menu.
(036)
Bug Fix (06/14/17/MIW): Creating
line or color contours with a faulted grid that contains null values will no longer cause the
program to lock-up (infinite loop) when the null nodes correspond with the
fault zone.
(035)
New Feature (06/12/17/MIW): The Stratigraphy Picker and the Lithology
Picker programs now include a horizontal
strip at the top of the cross-section that shows the borehole titles. This new
feature solves a problem of scrolling down the logs and losing track of which
logs are being displayed. It also
eliminates the need to include the log titles within the Striplog Designer and
the large offsets that can occur between the log titles and the log body when
using vertical exaggerations.
(034)
New Feature (06/12/17/MIW): Uniform
and Circular symbols within the symbol maps may now be color-coded based on a
cold (purple) to hot (red) color scheme.
(033)
New Feature (06/09/17/MIW): The
three main work panels within the Stratigraphy Picker and the Lithology Picker
are now “dockable”,
meaning that they can be detached from the main form by dragging the stippled
pattern within their title bars. As a
consequence, they can me moved to other screens, resized, etc. When these sub-forms are dragged over the
main form, small icons will appear to assist with the repositioning of the
sub-forms within the main form.
(032)
New Feature (06/07/17/MIW): The Stratigraphy and Lithology Picker
programs are now non-modal, meaning
that the user may now access the main RockWorks dialog while these programs are
running.
(031)
New Feature (06/05/17/MIW): The Zoom, Vertical Exaggeration, and
Decimal Place options within the Stratigraphy and Lithology Picker programs
now include spin buttons.
(030)
Improvement (06/05/17/MIW): The Zoom, Vertical Exaggeration, and Decimal Place
options within the Stratigraphy and Lithology Picker programs are now saved between sessions.
(029)
Improvement (06/02/17/MIW): The new Color Legend option now works with
I-Data, P-Data, and T-Data EZ-Section
correlations.
(028)
New Feature (06/02/17/MIW): T-Data can now be displayed within the EZ-Section correlations.
(027)
New Features (05/26/17/JCJ): The
Borehole Manager | Filter | Select
option now allows setting Enabled based on Option Fields with no value set (compared to NULL).
·
(019):
The Density Conversion Factors used to convert the lithology volumes to mass
may now be included within the RockPlot3D data tree.
·
(020):
The Lithology Volumes that appear within the RockPlot3D data tree may now be
enabled or disabled.
·
(021):
The Lithology Mass computations that appear within the RockPlot3D data tree may
now be enabled or disabled.
·
(022):
The G-Value for each lithotype within the RockPlot3D data tree is now labeled
as such.
·
(023):
The lithology statistics within the RockPlot3D data tree are now grouped as
sub-items for each lithotype.
(018)
Bug Fix (05/28/17/JPR): The RCL
“Dimensions” command now properly supports the subsite name and enable/disable
borehole settings. Examples:
DIMENSIONS:
Site-A |
Set
project dimensions to Site-A dimensions. |
DIMENSIONS:
Site-A True |
Set
project dimensions to Site-A dimensions, enable boreholes within Site-A
boundaries, and disable boreholes outside Site-A boundaries. |

The warning message is automatically added to the Execution History file
regardless of the menu settings (i.e. the "Do not show..." checkbox)
or selected option (i.e. Ignore or Halt).
·
Note:
The warning can be re-enabled from the Preferences | General | Warnings menu.

(002) New Feature (04/14/17/MIW): A new option has been added to the RockPlot3D Isosurface rendering whereby the triangles that make up the isosurface "skin" can be color-contoured to represent the closest non-null g-value greater than the isosurface cutofff value. This new capability is especially useful when showing models that have been truncated by grid filters (e.g. contaminant plumes moving through aquifers that are constrained/confined by aquitard surfaces).
(001) Bug Fix (04/05/17/MIW): The Striplogs | 2-Dimensional | Section program no longer generates an Access Violation error when correlations are enabled for I-Data or P-Data.
