(020) 05/14/2020/JPR - New Feature:

The Striplogs page within the Graphics / Animate / Solid -> 3D Animation and Solid -> 3D IsoShell Animation program menus now includes an option titled "T-Data Only". If selected, striplogs within the animations will be filtered such that only the logs with T-Data that was sampled during the model date interval will be shown. For example, when the animation is showing the 2016 plume, only the wells sampled in 2016 will be shown. This feature is based on the observation that most projects start with just a few monitor wells. Additional wells are then added as the plume migrates. This capability also provides visual cues as to when a plume artificially contracts based on a new well rather than an actual geochemical contraction.

(019) 05/14/2020/JPR - Cosmetic:

The notice/reminder that appears within the Striplogs page no longer appears behind the clipping parameters menu.

(013) 05/11/2020/JPR - Documentation:

The RockWorks2020 TCE Site Playlist and PDF have been adjusted to reflect the recent changes to the IsoShell cutoff levels within the program.

(012) 05/10/2020/JPR - New Feature:

A new program titled "Depth to Target" has been added to the ModOps / Solid / Solid -> Grid sub-menu in RockWorks2020. Given a ground surface grid model and a solid model, this program will create and display a grid that represents the depth to either the largest solid node value or the depth to the shallowest node within a specified range.

Applications for the Depth to Target program include mining (e.g. depth to shallowest sand), geotechnical (depth to competent rock), petroleum (depth to hydrocarbon), hydrology (depth to water), and environmental (depth to contaminated water).

(011) 05/10/2020/JPR - Improvement:

The maximum number of cutoff levels has been increased from three to six within the following programs in RockWorks2020:

(010) 05/09/2020/JPR - Documentation:

A PDF file titled "Time-Based Modeling, Analysis & Visualization" is now included within the TCE Site folder for RockWorks2020. This paper is intended to serve as a step-by-step tutorial for using the Playlist to model, visualize, and analyze a TCE groundwater contaminant that is migrating over time.

(009) 05/09/2020/JPR - Impovement:

When generating IsoShell animations, empty models will generate a warning message rather than an error message. This prevents the process from disrupting a long Playlist process.

(008) 05/09/2020/JPR - Cosmetic:

The TCE Site Playlist has been modified to accommodate the new solid modeling Constrain option and the changes to the Multiple Solids (aka TimeMachine) program. The Multiple Solids help message and abstract have also been modified accordingly.

(007) 05/08/2020/JPR - New Feature:

An option titled "Constrain" has been added to the Solid Options sub-menu in RockWorks2020.

This new tool will use the specified boolean model (the "constraining model") to determine which nodes will be interpolated during the subsequent modeling process. Specifically, nodes will not be interpolated for voxels in which the corresponding node within the constraining boolean model has a value of zero (false).

Constraining models are useful for limiting geochemical models to regions defined by other parameters such as permeability.

Constraining models can also significantly descrease the time required to generate a model if the majority of the model would otherwise be subsequently filtered (e.g. multiplying the output by a boolean model).

(006) 05/08/2020/JPR - Cosmetic:

The default width of the dialog box that appears when renaming a RockWorks2020 Playlist item has been increased to 800 pixels to allow for longer descriptions.

(005) 05/08/2020/JPR - Cosmetic:

Ampersands (&) are now dislayed within the Grid2DipSymMap, RuColMultiFilt, SolidGridFilter, Vpanels, and Vpanels2Xyzg program titles and/or descriptions. Arrows symbols are no longer preceded by hyphens within the Pgon, R2d2Mif, R2d2Pdf, and R2DtoReportworks programs titles and/or descriptions.

(004) 05/08/2020/JPR - Cosmetic:

The default width of the dialog box that appears when adding an item to a RockWorks2020 Playlist has been increased to 800 pixels to allow for longer descriptions.

(003) 05/08/2020/JPR - Bug Fix:

Double ampersands (&&) within program descriptions are now shown as single ampersands when adding items to the Playlist.

(002) 05/07/2020/JPR - Bug Fix:

The Vertex Table options within the Graphics / 2D Tools / Enclosing Polygon program in RockWorks2020 now have check-boxes to determine how the vertices will be saved.

(001) 05/07/2020/JPR - First Release : RockWorks2020 is now available!

(003) Upload (4/29/2020/MMM): RockWorks17 Version 2020.4.29 uploaded to the RockWare website.

(002) Bug Fix (4/22/2020/MIW): The Initialize Grid using the inclined option now returns the correctly oriented grid. This function is also used by the Tilt option in Solid Modeling.

(001) Bug Fix (4/6/2020/MIW): Solid Models with negative values and a range of zero no longer appear black.

NOTE: If you are using a NETWORK license, RockWorks17 v. 2019.9.30 and newer require the RockWare Network License Administrator version 1.09 or newer. Check with your license administrator before installing the RockWorks update. See our forum posting for details.
