Cosmetic 01/04/01 | The Project Directory option has been removed from the main menu and moved to the Borehole Data Manager. The Project Directory setting is only used when the Borehole Data Manager is building the list of borehole files.
New MegaFeature 01/04/01 | A new utility called the "Borehole Data Manager" is now used to manage drill-hole data. All data for each borehole is now stored in a single ASCII file with a ".bh" extension. This information includes; hole ID, easting, northing, elevation, total depth, map symbol, survey data, geochemical data, geophysical data, etc. Borehole files consolidate and replace the RockWorks99 downhole files (lithology files, histogram files, curve files, zone files, etc.).
New Feature 11/28/00 | The Survey program now allows the user to enter inclinations in conventional (Straight-Up = 90 degrees, Horizontal = 0 degrees, Straight -Down = -90 degrees) or Moronian (Straight-Up = 0 degrees, Horizontal =90 degrees, Straight -Down = 180 degrees) formats.
Cosmetic 11/21/00 | The program no longer displays a cancellation dialog if the user selects the "Cancel" option from the main startup screen.
New Feature 11/16/00 | The RockPlot/Search menu now has the same capabilities as the main RockWorks datasheet in terms of displaying symbols, patterns, line-styles, and colors interactively. In addition, it is now possible to edit linked histogram, curve, lithology, zone, and downhole-survey data by clicking on the appropriate cells. These cells are indicated by red-backgrounds within the title column.

Improvement 10/24/00 | The pull-down menus that are used to select which datasheet columns should be used for various operations now show only the columns that are titled (via the template editor). This eliminates situations in which the user must scroll upward past blank column entries. It is important to note that you should not have untitled columns between titled columns. Any titled columns to the right of the first untitled column will be ignored when the program generates the column selection lists.
Improvement 10/24/00 | The View/Restore command now presents the user with a warning. Also, the program now prompts the user to save the datasheet before restoring the default settings, and the program now terminates after the restoration to insure a true "clean slate" restart.
Improvement 10/24/00 | The Left and Right values that are specified for striplog curves and bargraphs have been replaced with Minimum and Maximum values. Curves and bargraphs on the left side of the log will always increase from right to left while curves and bargraphs on the right side of the log will always increase from left to right.

New Feature 10/6/00 | The
user now has three new options for setting the grid dimensions; (1) Average Minimum Distance: This new feature will set the grid node spacing to half of the average minimum distance between the control points. This is the new default setting. (2) Arbitrary: This allows the user to arbritrarily define the number of nodes. This was the only option within the previous version. (3) Number of Nodes: This new option will use whatever grid node spacing was specified the last time a grid model was created. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
New Feature 10/6/00 | A new gridding algorithm called "Directional Multiple Linear Regression" has been added to the list of modeling methods. This program uses computes directional statistics relative to each node in order to bias the gridding in variable directions. Unlike the Directional Weighting algorithm, the user does not need to specify the bias direction. Instead, the program computes these directions, and the directions are localized, meaning that the "fabric" may change within the map area.
New Feature 10/6/00 | A new gridding algorithm called "Multiple Linear Regression" has been added to the list of surface modeling methods. This method uses linear regressions to interpolate node values. The resultant surfaces are similar to inverse-distance models but they are less prone to the "bulls-eyes" around control points.
