The RockWorks Utilities offers a datasheet for entering miscellaneous data – simple XY data for creating Google Earth maps, XYZ data for generating point and contour maps, strike and dip data for stereonet plots, hydrochemistry ion lists for Piper diagrams, and more.
The Utilities programs are included in all feature levels of RockWorks (Basic, Standard, and Advanced).
Utilities Overview Video
Watch a quick introductory video on the RockWorks Utilities.
Read spatial data from the Datasheet Editor, and generate a variety of different maps – points, contours, polygons, 3D points, and more.
3D Surfaces and Terrain Models
Create 3D surfaces based on elevation or other XYZ data. Display surfaces in 3D with a variety of surface styles. Adjust transparency, lighting, and vertical stretch for all. Zooming and rotation are possible for all types of 3D surfaces.
Stereonets and Other Structural Geology Tools
List strike and dip data in the datasheet, generate a stereonets, strike and dip maps, structure maps, and perform a variety of computations. (Read more.)
Ternary diagrams and other statistics tools
Use RockWorks to create ternary diagrams, scatter plots, histograms, sieve diagrams, and statistical reports for your data.
Create buildings, walls, pipes, roads, and other objects for display in 3D (append to other scenes), in 2D maps, as well as in cross sections.
Compute volumes, create extraction pits and surfaces, create GT reports.
Create 2D and 3D geosteering diagrams from downhole survey, gamma-resistivity, and gas data. Calculate optimal well paths from XYZ points.
