Geophysical, geochemical and geotechnical downhole data

Downhole log data can represent geophysical measurements, geochemical values, geotechnical measurements, and more. These data can be entered either at depth points or over depth intervals. RockWorks interpolation algorithms can be used to create a continuous 3D model of downhole data. There are numerous display and analysis options for downhole data within RockWorks, some based on the continuous 3D model, some on the data itself.


Downhole data logs

Display observed data in 2D and 3D logs and log sections:

  • Point-sampled data as curves (2D and 3D) or discs (3D)
  • Interval-sampled data as bargraphs (2D) or spheres, discs, oblates, bars (3D)
  • Numerous custom color and scaling options available.

Display a continuous data model in single-panel vertical slice or "profile", or as a multi-panel cross section.

Display a continuous data model as 3D slices or fence panels.

  • Create an automatic fence panel location map

Display a continuous data model as an isosurface or voxel solid in the 3D window.

  • Easily filter for specific data values
  • View volumes for the filtered models
  • Zoom, rotate model in the 3d viewer
  • Insert horizontal and vertical slices
  • Append 3D logs automatically
