1. USA Pro Challenge - Flyover, Stage 1: Steamboat Springs - RockWorks16 EarthApps
Download a ZIP file containing:
 
(1) a Google Earth KMZ file illustrating the path of Stage 1 of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge race which will take place on August 17, 2015 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado 
(2) a Google Earth KMZ file containing a flyover along this path 
 
You can download the ZIP file, extract the contents to a folder of your choice, and double-click on either KMZ file to load the path and/or flyover into Google Earth.
 
To create your own flyover in the RockWorks16 EarthApps, load the path in Google Earth, and right-click/copy it to the Clipboard. Then go to RockWorks16 | EarthApps and select Flyover | Clipboard -> Forward-Looking Flyover. Set the time between points to 1, the Altitude to 150, the Tilt to -15, and the Smoothing to 2.  Click Process and Voila!

You can download the ZIP file, extract the contents to a folder of your choice, and double-click on either KMZ file to load the path and/or flyover into Google Earth.
 
To create your own flyover in the RockWorks16 EarthApps, load the path in Google Earth, and right-click/copy it to the Clipboard. Then go to RockWorks16 | EarthApps and select Flyover | Clipboard -> Forward-Looking Flyover. Set the time between points to 0.5, the Altitude to 50, the Tilt to -10, and the Smoothing to 8.  Click Process and hold on to your hat!  You'll tour past the Climax mine, through Leadville, and around beautiful Turquoise Lake. You'll fly along one of the highest passes in Colorado - Independence Pass - before descending into Aspen.

Download a ZIP file containing:

 
(1) a Google Earth KMZ file illustrating the path of Stage 4 of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge race which will take place on August 20, 2015 from Aspen to Breckenridge, Colorado 
(2) a Google Earth KMZ file containing a flyover along this path 
 
You can download the ZIP file, extract the contents to a folder of your choice, and double-click on either KMZ file to load the path and/or flyover into Google Earth. On this day you'll retrace your path from Stage 3 over Independence Pass, down the Arkansas River valley to Buena Vista, turn north, then head over Hoosier Pass to Breckenridge.
 
To create your own flyover in the RockWorks16 EarthApps, load the path in Google Earth, and right-click/copy it to the Clipboard. Then go to RockWorks16 | EarthApps and select Flyover | Clipboard -> Forward-Looking Flyover. Set the time between points to 0.5, the Altitude to 50, the Tilt to -10, and the Smoothing to 8.  Click Process.

(1) a Google Earth KMZ file illustrating the path of Stage 7 of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge race on August 23, 2015 from Golden to Denver, Colorado 
(2) a Google Earth KMZ file containing a flyover along this path 
 
You can download the ZIP file, extract the contents to a folder of your choice, and double-click on either KMZ file to load the path and/or flyover into Google Earth.  On this leg, the riders start in Golden, head up Lookout Mountain, loop back to Golden, then head east to Denver through Lakewood and Wheat Ridge. 
 
To create your own flyover in the RockWorks16 EarthApps, load the path in Google Earth, and right-click/copy it to the Clipboard. Then go to RockWorks16 | EarthApps and select Flyover | Clipboard -> Forward-Looking Flyover. Set the time between points to 0.3, the Altitude to 50, the Tilt to -10, and the Smoothing to 8.  Click Process.

2. Earthquakes Worldwide Mag 2.5+, Aug 2013 - RockWorks16 EarthApps

Download a ZIP file containing

(1) a Google Earth KMZ file illustrating recent earthquakes with cones colored by magnitude and scaled by depth. 
(2) a RockWorks16 .RwDat file with the source earthquake data, for use with the EarthApps, and
(3) a settings file you can load in the EarthApps | Points | Cones | Advanced menu to create this KMZ display.
