skysky2cie Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Hi, I am a freshman using petrasim, I had a strange problem of using EOS7 and EOS7R. When I selet the "isothermal" and "Non-isothermal" of the "EOS" in "Global properties", petrasim can work successfully, but when I select "No Air,Isothermal" and " No Air, Non-isothermal", petrasim was failure, and the output show the following information: +++++++++ CANNOT FIND PARAMETERS AT ELEMENT * 22* XX(M) = 0.000000E+00 0.000000E+00 0.000000E+00 0.000000E+00 0.000000E+00 !!!!!! ERRONEOUS DATA INITIALIZATION !!!!!! CHECK INCON FORMAT AND ASSIGNMENTS OF NK AND NKIN. ---------- STOP EXECUTION --------- Can any one kindly help me slove this problem? Darjus Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hello everyone, I have such problem type in EOS7R too.
Charlie Thornton Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Thank you for linking the test file. EOS7: It looks like PetraSim is writing 4 state variables for the "no air" cases. TOUGH2[EOS7] expects 3 -- P, Xb, and T. I've fixed this in our development version and you should be able to use this mode without any trouble with the upcoming version 5 release. EOS7R: Similar problem. This has also been fixed and will function correctly in the version 5 release. I believe (though I haven't tested it) a workaround for the time being is to use the air-enabled modes with a zero air mass fraction.
