Jaeshik Chung
Hi- I am running TOUGHREACT 1-D transport with reaction (just like the example 1 in the manual) using PetraSim 5. It was fine when there is a small number of cells (ca. 10) but when I increase the number of cells more than 100, there was a discontinuity in the result, text file (time.txt), (I wanted to affix this, but it said that the size is too big) For example, the column of element, it was fine until 70, but jumps from 070 to 0 1 (not 71) and continue to 0 2, 0 4, 0 5, and 75. What is worse is, the data there (in the row) is also follows wrong number, which leads unreasonable discontinuity. Does anyone has similar problem? please help me with this. - Jaeshik Chung -
Alison
Jaeshik, Its hard to envision what you are seeing here or what might be the problem. Please send me your SIM file, and I will take a look to determine if this is a problem with PetraSim. Thanks, Alison alison @ rockware.com
Jaeshik Chung
Thank you, I just sent it
Alison
The key here is that TOUGH2 does not use element numbers, but rather uses “names” composed of 3 characters and 2 numbers. Because FORTRAN does not easily output leading zeros on integers, you end up with spaces in the number portion of the ELEME name.
