Guelph_Alex
Hi I am working on modelling well water, and need to adjust the solution pressure to 1000-1500 psi to simulate conditions at the pump. Is there a way to do this using SpecE8, thank you. Alex Janssen I am using thermo.dat and running specE8 version 6.0.5.

Hi Alex: The default thermodynamic databases provided with GWB are compiled for 1 Atm (~15 PSI) confining pressure. You can modify the databases to work at higher confining pressures, but for most applications, the changes in the log K values with pressure are very small relative to the uncertainty in the data. This thread in the GWB archive discusses this issue in a little greater detail. Regards, Tom Meuzelaar RockWare, Inc.
