append slice of plume data into stra model

Recommended Posts

It can be done but since there isn't any transparency in RockPlot2D it may not come out the way that you want. First create the cross section of your geology (stratigraphy, lithology?) and save the RockPlot2D file. Now create a cross section of your plume (I-Data, P-Data?) using the same sections ay your geology. You'll want to turn off most of the options so that you don't duplicate what's in your geology section. You can choose to display the plume section as contours with an optional custom contour table which would provide the most "see thru" visibility or you could use a custom interval table with color fill contours to only show part of the plume. You can now append your plume section to your geology section.

Another option would be to export the sections as raster images and import them into a paint program such as Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop Pro where you could overlay the images and adjust transparency.

Okay I will try this.
