Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to generate a XYZG solid using a pretty simple datasheet with Easting and Northing Columns (both in UTM feet), elevation of various points, and some pH values. However whenever I try to actually execute the XYZG to Solid Model, it throws the error: "All nodes are undefined" with no other info (see below). At this point I'm a bit stumped because I've popped it into a fresh project, tried trimming down the datasheet to only contain the relevant information, and have even tried feeding in some dummy data, still to no avail.

I've tested the points and they fit within the project extent when just generated as 3D points, so I know that there's no issues in that regard, but I'm not sure what else it could be at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kali

Good morning,

After creating your new project have you updated your Grid & Block Model Dimensions under the Dimensions tab? If the XYZ min/max are currently showing at 0-100 with a spacing of 10 that could likely be the issue.

If you would also like to zip up your project folder and send it to tech@rockware.com we would also be happy to take a look at it and see what could be occurring.

Thanks for the prompt response!

Unfortunately I had already adjusted the dimensions so that wasn't the issue. I'm thoroughly stumped so I'll end up sending an email to y'all to see if we can get this issue hammered out, and a comment left here for anyone who might run into this issue in the future.

The issue was occurring from the Superface option that was being used to confine the upper bounds of the 3D model. The boreholes in the borehole manager all had elevations of 0, which was outside the grid & block model dimensions, so when RockWorks was attempting to create an automatic surface based on the borehole elevations for the Superface, those nodes were undefined. Turning off the Superface option allowed the end user to create their model.
