Mette Lise Kjaer Poulsen Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 I'm a new user of PetraSim wondering why my model will not run. I've read through the previous topic "Problem with runlog.out and flow.out files" as I get the same error when I try to run the model. However, I think my issue is much more basic. My model is very simple; 4 cells with standard values in most settings. For now, I'm only looking at getting the model to flow, and I have disabled the chemical simulations. The error I get is this seen below: I have access to the flow.out file, but a runlog.out file is not created. Any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong?
Alison Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Mette Lise, I would really need to look at your model to know what is going on, but it sounds like there is a problem with your initial conditions, or perhaps with a sink or source. The runlog.out file is only created if you have chemical reactions turned on for a model, so it makes sense that this is not being created. You could look through the flow.out file for "Data Initialization" errors that might pop up before a model takes a time step. If the model does run through some time steps, then there could be "Cannot Find Parameter" errors that might indicate a problem with a sink or source setting (for example a pressure or temperature value that is not supported by the simulator). Please feel free to send your SIM file to me so that I can take a look. Best Regards, Alison
Mette Lise Kjaer Poulsen Posted October 12, 2022 Author Posted October 12, 2022 Thank you for your reply. I played around with the sink and pressure settings, at now my model flows. However, I still get the error message and there are no data to plot. Therefore, it would be great, if you wounld have a look at my SIM file. Thanks for that opportunity Test model.sim
