RockWorks 17 2019.2.28

Recommended Posts

New versions of RockWorks17 (64- and 32-bit) were uploaded to the RockWare website with the following changes:

New Features

  • Added the ability to save "Other" projections in RockPlot2D.

Improvements

  • The Tidy Number function in Project Dimensions Scan no longer adjusts the node spacing if user specified.
  • When transferring borehole data from the datasheet to the Borehole Manager, the transfer will honor the settings for the number of decimals based on feet, meters, decimal degrees.  These may be set from the Preferences menu | Decimals.
  • Plotting I-Text or P-Text at high vertical exaggerations in the Stratigraphic and Lithologic Picker caused the text to be plotted in the wrong locations. An Intended Vertical Exaggeration has been added to the menu.
  • Correlation Options have been added to the Aquifer Profile to allow user to change the display style. Previously, changes to the Stratigraphy profile style were used for the Aquifer profile and there was no way to change them in the Aquifer Profile menu.
  • The option to reverse the RockPlot3D Color Legend is now saved.
  • The RockPlot3D Iso-Surface Cap Contour was always set to 0.05 which could cause Out of Memory errors if the models range was very large. Note that the setting for the Cap Contour Interval are set from the Legend menu.

Bug Fixes

  • When searching for projection parameters from the Master list of the Init Files: Clicking on an item will bring up the data for that item and show the which list it is from. In the case of duplicate codes, it was showing the first one in the list instead of data for the item selected.
  • The Utilities/Solid/Export/Solid --> Groundwater Vistas Zone File was not reading numbers correctly when separated by only 1 space.
  • Fixed bugs in the Import borehole data through the Borehole Manager: File | Import | Database (acQuire, Newmont) method:
It will accept dates like 1987-02-04 for Water Levels
Unable to convert 'undefined' to feet bug, occurred when jumping over the units tab page
Inserting a Lithology Type (or AquiferType) looked like an error if it was already there
Table Insert parameters were being mis-typed
  • Running an RCL that creates a report or output datasheet (RwDat) without specifiying a filename now defaults to "untitled1.txt" and "untitled.rwdat".
  • LAS Import:  Select All / Unselect All buttons now work.  The Select All checks the Included (Select) checkbox and for Parameter sections set the field to 'Comments', for Column Definitions for track-type tables (I-Data, P-Data, T-Data, I-Text and p-Text) it will add a new track and set the field names, for Column Definitions for non-track tables it will only set the include checkbox.  The Unselect All only un-checks the Included checkboxes.
  • The Optional fields are now refreshed for any new Location fields are added.
  • The String_to_Degrees conversion was misinterpreting the decimal separator as a thousand separator, when it was not explicitly specified, yielding incorrect conversions specifically in the Coordinate Converter (Multiple points). A value of 30° 13' 25.66" was converted as if it was 30° 13' 2566"
  • The face culling for RockPlot3D Voxel Models was not using the filter settings.
