Hi Khaled,

I just tried it with a SHP file of contours that I have, and I cannot duplicate the problem in Arcv2CAD v7. It is possible that the duplicates are in the SHP file. You are welcome to send me your SHP file and I will take a look.

You can zip the files together and attach the ZIP file, or send it to support@rockware.com, or upload it to http://www.rockware.com/upload/ .

Hi Admin,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.

Please find attached sample shape file(named "wells") that is already downloaded by rockware when install "Arcv2CAD7" .

Try to export it to DWG you will find each record in the shape file is duplicated in the exported DWG.

Hi Khaled,

I only see one copy of each point when I open the file in AutoCAD 2016. I select 1 point with selection window, then I type LIST to see the info on the selection. Only one point is listed.

However, there are some points with identical XY coordinates, but different names.

What method do you use that reports duplicated records?

Hi Khaled,

It sounds like the problem is in FME. I cannot duplicate the problem in AutoCAD.

well, the wells file was dwg and it was readable in fme without duplication

then I transferred it to shape file then to dwg again from the shape file. This final dwg is readable in the fme with duplicates.

so this means that rockware created a different dwg than the original.

Got my point??

Sorry, but I cannot duplicate the problem when converting the SHP to DWG and getting duplicate records.
