Save DH Profile settings (or change DH filtering for existing profile)

Recommended Posts

I would like to make duplicate profiles with different sets of drill holes turned on. Is there any way to either access a previously-designed 2D Profile's settings (I-data widths, margins, fonts, etc.) or else to open an existing 2D file and then change the DH filtering?

Hi David,

First, note that all of the 2D striplog and profile settings are saved from session to session, so if you create a pleasing profile diagram for holes A to A', then you simply need to draw a new profile location (in the Profile Selection Map), click Process, and the same striplog and profiles settings will be used for the new profile diagram.

You can save a snapshot of the menu settings for future reference, or if you want to experiment with other settings, using

(1) the hammer icon in the upper-left corner of the Multi-Log Profile window, choosing Save to RCL (for the Profile options) and

(2) the Save RCL button along the top of the 2D Striplog Designer tab (for the Striplog options).

You can use the Load RCL option in each of those to re-load saved settings lists.

You can save the location of any profile that you draw for future use, using the File | Export | Database Table menu option in the Profile Selection Map tab. (info: http://help.rockware.com/rockworks17/WebHelp/table_profile.htm)

Let us know if you have additional questions about this.

Oh, and another option: Use the "Create Additional Parallel Profiles" option to automatically create multiple parallel profiles through the project, at a user-defined spacing.

Hi David,

You can turn individual boreholes on and off in the Layers pane to the right of the cross-section.

To add new boreholes to the section, create a new section.
