Error: "RockPack III has expired"

Several customers have reported that they get an error message when trying to run RockPack III.

RockPack III has expired. Please call to upgrade.

To work around the problem, close RockPack, then right-click on the RockPack shortcut or EXE and choose Run As Administrator. This will increase the user privileges to allow RockPack to write the license information to the Windows Registry.

One customer was not able to get paste the error even when running as administrator. This customer is now attempting to run RockPack in Windows XP Compatibility mode. To enter this mode, right-click on the RockPack shortcut or EXE, choose Properties, Compatibility | Run this program in compatibility mode for | Windows XP.

When you run the program As Administrator, you'll probably see the RockPack III - Registration Form window.

  • Name: Enter your name into this prompt.
  • Company: Enter your company name into this prompt.
  • Serial Number:
    • If you purchased a license, enter the RockWare-supplied Serial Number into that prompt.
    • If you are using the software in Demo mode, leave the Serial Number field blank.
  • Click OK. The main RockPack III program window will be displayed. Use the Help menu to access documentation.
