saif Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Rockworks 16 level 5 was downloaded and while waiting for the unlocking code to arrive the GIS Link was downloaded and installed in ArcGIS. Now the RW has been licensed properly but may due to this chain of events the GIS Link (which should've automatically licensed using RW-16 level 5) was being shown as a trialware. There after we tried uninstalling/reinstalling the GIS Link but still it didn't work. It was then thought that maybe RW-16 wasn't the updated version, so we tried installing the latest package over the previously installed. But now it is asking for the licensing of RW-16 altogether. This started as a trivial GIS Link licensing problem and ended up being a big one. Kindly advise and if uninstalling and reinstalling si the final solution then the complete step by step procedure(especially uninstalling)
Guest Molly Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Dear Saif, We can issue you a new unlocking code for RockWorks16. Please send an email directly to the support staff (support at rockware.com) with the Installation Number you see on the screen when you start up RockWorks16 and click the Set Up Licensing button. (Be sure to choose the RockWorks Single license type, and License Level 5.) Once RockWorks is licensed again, we can address why the GIS Link is not recognizing the licensing for RockWorks. This will be more easily handled via email than via the forum. Best regards, Molly Mayfield RockWare Inc
