YvesD 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Anyone knows how to import a Geotiff (TIFF file plus tfw) into Rockworks? Yves
Molly 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Hi YvesD, In RockWorks16 you can use the Utilities | Imagery | Convert (Image -> New Map) | Single menu option to select the input TIFF file name and specify the World File for geo-referencing. In RockWorks15, this tool is in the Imagery | Raster -> RKW menu option. Molly Mayfield RockWare Inc
YvesD 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 I successfully import the Geotiff in Rockwork 15. I import too to Global Mapper. I found a discrepancy between both in the order of 100 m and more on the corner. I checked with Google earth and it the same than Global Mapper. I am using WGS-84 (NAD83) with UTM zone 19 with both softwares. Do you know what am I doing wrong? Thanks Yves
Molly 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 Hi Yves, For data-specific questions, it would be helpful to communicate via email, with samples of your data. In RockWorks15, please choose Project | Archive Database to ASCII to create the project backup. Then, add the TIFF image and its world file to that ZIP file, and email it to support at rockware.com. We can take a look at your project setup and send recommendations via email. Thanks Molly Mayfield RockWare Inc. (support at RockWare dot com)
