Vertical Exaggeration when Exporting Model and Striplogs to 3D DXF in AutoCAD

Recommended Posts

A customer asks:

Q. How do I export a model with striplogs to a 3D plot in AutoCAD?

A. In RockPlot/3D, set the vertical exaggeration to 1.0. Export to an AutoCAD 3D DXF file with the File | Export | DXF menu command.

To display the plot with vertical exaggeration in AutoCAD, choose the Insert | Block menu command, specify the DXF file name, insert the block at (0,0,0), and specify the desired Z scale factor.

Thanks,
