robhamilton Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 I am seeking a way to "map" the surface of car body sections so that I get 2D outlines. I need the 2D outlines so I can then cut a thin adhesive film to shape and adhere it onto the car if that helps explain what I am trying to do. Does Rockware have tools available which are able to map the complex curve car surfaces? Any suggestions where I could look elsewhere? Thanks in advance. None of our programs that generate surface models support such complexity as the bends of a car, nor do they offer any kind of pattern making.
