Ken Whetstone
I am looking for an inexpensive option to georectify images. I know this functionality exists within ARCView and Global Mapper. Does anyone have any other options to suggest?
Guest Nicole Cordier
A couple of inexpensive options would be Didger or SmartImage. Didger is a stand-alone program primarily consisting of digitizing tools, as well as georeferencing and warping tools (for more information visit http://www.rockware.com/product/featuresLobby.php?id=87&category=126). SmartImage functions inside of ArcView 3.x or MapInfo and also contains tools for georeferening, clipping, etc (for more information visit http://www.rockware.com/product/overview.php?id=125). Feel free to contact me directly for further inquiries. Nicole Cordier RockWare Inc nicole@rockware.com
Guest Tofer Lewis
Hi Ken, Global Mapper is your best inexpensive option. I have yet to meet a single person who regrets buying the program. If this is the same Ken Whetstone that worked for EP, I work for Dave in Denver and if you need help deciding what to get, just contact me directly in Denver, I'll be happy to help...
