  1. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website, with new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features: Added a new program, Stratigraphy | Grids->Simple Stratigraphy, that displays a set of surfaces listed in a Utilities Datasheet. A new program titled "Drawdown Grids" has been added to the Utilities | Hydrology pull-down menu. This program will create a series of grid models based on a starting day, an ending day, and time increments. The list of grid models is intended for subsequent animation with the Utilities | Animate | Grids -> Contour Map Animation and Grids -> 3D Surface Animation programs. Unlike the Drawdown Surface program, however, the days cannot be specified on a well-by-well basis. The Input sub-menus within four of the Graphics | Animate programs (shown below with the red box) now include an option to enable or disable the date annotation within the animations. A program titled “Solid Vertical Slice -> Grid” has been added to the ModOps | Solid | Extract | Grids sub-menu. This program may be used to (1) create a grid that represents a vertical slice through a solid model based on two user-defined endpoints, (2) display the grid, and (3) create a report that lists the XYZ coordinates and corresponding solid-model g-values at those locations, that can be saved in a variety of formats. A new program titled “QAPF Diagram” has been added to RockWorks under the Utilities | Stats pull-down menu. This new tool allows users to work with igneous rock classification. Improvements: The editor for working with Project Notes has been improved to include Numbered Bullets as well as Find and Replace options. The Shape Import to RockPlot2D now can apply elevation or other numeric data from either the shape file (shp) or the attribute table (dbf). The Total Depth Grid program now allows users to filter by total depth. Borehole Manager Import workflow can now use a Synonym or Alias table during column-based import of I/P/T-Data to list replacements for various ND (non-data) records. The Editor for viewing a Playlist now has a "Search and Replace" option. The save function will also default to the RWPlaylist file extension. The user can create a fault based on a triangulated surface created from either a datasheet or XYZ data file. Grid Create: The "Dip" Algorithm is mutually exclusive to the other algorithms. It has its own menu item and requires 5 columns as input: X, Y, Z, Direction, and Dip. This algorithm will not work for the generic XYZ to Grid creation. The XYZ to Grid does not show the "Dip" algorithm and the XYZ & Dips to Grid only shows the "Dip" algorithm parameters. Bug Fixes The Hydrology | Drawdown Surface program now saves the output grid to the grid name that is specified and the Duration field decimals have been decreased from 8 to 2. T-Data | Time-Graph, Peripherals, scalebar option removed. You can create a new project based on an existing project using a Custom Coordinate Reference System. This was giving an error. The "Include Aquifer Name" and "Include Sampling Date" options are no longer clipped within the 3D Log Design | Aquifers | Symbols & Captions sub-menu. Since Collar Elevation is no longer a required field, it was showing up as an Optional Field in some places. Borehole Manager | View | Filter | Select boreholes - Using the sizable rectangle to select boreholes works again. Borehole Location Map | Optional Fields now displays the field's short description (display label) instead of the field name. The Y (Northing) Cutoff position was being miscalculated in the Cutoff dialog. The Export to PDF when creating Cross Sections or Profiles now sizes the output files correctly honoring Vertical Exaggerations other than 1 (one). We recommend that Network license users install the RockWare Network License Administrator v. 1.15. Contact support at rockware.com for a link to the latest version. To download this build, use the Help | Updates | Check for Updates menu inside RockWorks20. RockWorks Link, click on free trial tab: https://www.rockware.com/product/rockworks/ where you can download the installation program and install the new build right over the top of the existing program. (DO NOT uninstall first.) Note that you will not be able to use this new build of the program if your maintenance has expired before December 31, 2021. Contact RockWare Sales or visit our Customer Portal (https://www.rockware.com/customer/) if you would like to update your maintenance. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  2. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website, with new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features: A Pinchout Filter has been added to the Grid|Filters that allows the user to create pinchouts between 2 grid surfaces using either a minimum thickness or a polygon. Users can specify the pinchout to use the top, bottom or average elevation. The Borehole Operations / Striplogs / Lateral Geo-Steering program has been completely redesigned. A program titled “Total Depth Grid” has been added to the Borehole Operations / Maps sub-menu. This program will create and display a grid depicting an interpolated surface that intersects the base of all enabled boreholes. A program titled “Fade With Depth” has been added to the ModOps / Filters sub-menu. This program will decrement voxel values below a specified elevation or a user-defined surface (grid) model. The new (9/7/21) capability for including "supplemental points" when creating stratigraphic models based on borehole data has been enhanced to include optional dip information for the upper and lower contacts. Please note two caveats: (1) This information is only used if the Dip Direction algorithm is used to model the surfaces. (2) If a dip is specified for the top surface of a stratigraphic unit but no elevation is provided, the dip information will be ignored. The same applies to the base. Improvements: The ModOps / Volume / Extract Via Surface Extraction program has been modified and improved. The Time Filter has been added to the Time Graph and Time Graph Map menus. Borehole Manager will now import Point Shapefiles directly into the Location table. The RockPlot2D Scalebar now draw the filled scalebar to appear similar to the peripherals scalebar which it replaces after this change. The endpoint labels can now be displayed left, right, both or no sides. Water level data can be appended to existing data like T-Data in the Single Table Import. There is a check box on the right to Append the data (or not) for Water Levels to allow the user to make this choice to replace or append the data. The RockPlot3D Strat Unit decimates very large grid surfaces when Solid Fill is selected. Users can see the decimation factor in the option dialog and turn decimation off. The drawing of the 3D Stratigraphy Units has been improved to better work with null values and the minimum thickness cutoff. In addition Cutoffs can now be applied. The minimum thickness transparency option has been removed. The RockPlot2D Color Legend now allows you to set a separate Text Interval form the Color Interval. The Text and Color Interval must both divide evenly into the Z Range and a warning will be issued by the dialog. A Copy File command has been added to the Playlist Add menu at the top. Bug Fixes The 'Perform Smoothing Last' option for Solid Models now operates whether the Smoothing option is enabled or not. The RockPlot3D Export for Sketchfab will now plot all the Legend values for a custom table when transferred to Sketchfab. RockPlot2D Rectangles now use 4 points so that they can be properly converted to Latitude/Longitude Degrees and will appear correctly in Google Earth Vector files. The Borehole Surface Intersection now correctly omits boreholes that don't intersect the surface when the Omit option is selected. The Borehole Surface Intersection now correctly marks boreholes that start below the surface. The Borehole Surface Intersection now shows all the boreholes. RockPlot2D now starts in zoom rather than edit mode. Borehole Manager | Import Multiple Tables (Excel & Text) for the tables I-Data, I-Text, P-Data, P-Text, and T-Data the existing tracks will now be cleared when Replace Data is checked. Borehole Manager | Exports | ... All Tracks will now account for regional formatting (i.e. comma as a decimal separator) I-Data, I-Text, P-Data, P-Text, T-Data. Empty column values in the import are set to NULL for field values in Playlist CSV Import process. Borehole Operations Maps | Google Earth (Simple or Advanced) was giving a DB error. RockWorks allows CollarElevation to be NULL, however the function to choose the Elevation value when CollarElevation was NULL was making the field read-only. RockWorks will now allow coded Coordinate Systems (like epsg:2877) that are based in U.S. Surveyor's Feet. Upgrading a project from RW17 that uses a custom coordinate system and an "Init" style code (like epsg or esri) will succeed. The PROJ generic coordinate transformation software RockWare applies used to change how it handled "Init" parameters. We recommend that Network license users install the RockWare Network License Administrator v. 1.15. Contact support at rockware.com for a link to the latest version. 3. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website today, with new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features: Users can now extract values from a solid model along the path of a borehole. The "speed buttons" along the left edge of the Playlist tab sheet now display the icons on the left side of the text versus the icons being positioned above the text. This decreases the likelihood that options won't be visible when the height of the Playlist tab sheet is vertically reduced. The borehole label font size that is used when plotting the index maps for profiles, sections, projected sections, and fence diagrams may now be adjusted by selecting the File / Options menu. A new option titled “Include Additional Contacts Defined Within RwDat File” has been added to the “Strat. Rules” tab that is shown within all programs that create stratigraphy models based on borehole data. A new program titled "Resample (Fine-to-Coarse)" has been added to the ModOps / Solid / Math sub-menu. This program is used to convert high-resolution solids to low-resolution solids based on a variety of options as shown below. The Borehole Operations / Lithology / 2D Isopach option now displays two options: Voxel-Based and Grid-Based. The Grid-Based option behaves just like the previous version meaning that it generates surfaces based on the uppermost and lowermost occurrences of the selected lithology and then subtracts the lower from the upper surface to create the isopach grid. The new Voxel-Based option simply adds the heights of all voxels that are equal to the designated lithotype to produce the isopach. This new approach will account for voxels in-between the uppermost and lowermost occurrences that don't equal the selected lithotype (i.e. interbeds). Improvements: The Stratigraphy Picker now has the option to snap stratigraphy to an existing lithology contact. Added the ability to extract values from a Solid Model based on XYZ points stored in a datasheet. Added a program to extract values from a grid based on XY points in a datasheet. Users can now use the Aquifer Pattern Table colors for water symbols in 2D and 3D Striplogs. Water level data can be appended to existing data, like T-Data allows. There is a check box on the block mapping tab for Water Levels to allow the user to make the choice to replace or append the data. File | Export | Stratigraphy, will now export for "All Units" or for a single Stratigraphy Unit/Type. The Lithology / 2D Isopach program no longer fits grids to the uppermost and lowermost contacts and subtracts them to produce an isopach grid. Instead, the program simply adds the heights of all voxels that are equal to the designated lithotype to produce the isopach. An option titled "Clear Output Tabs Whenever "Process Playlist" Button Is Clicked" has been added to the Playlist / Configure pull-down menu. If checked, any open output tabs will be closed before the Playlist processing begins. The result is identical to pressing the "Clear" button before pressing the "Process Playlist" button. The idea is to reduce the clutter left behind by any previous Playlist data processing. The default setting for this new option is "off". File | Export | Stratigraphy/Aquifers, will now export for "All Units" or for a single Stratigraphy Unit/Type. The unit type column was added to the output. The editor for editing a database memo field in the Borehole Manager, like the comments in Lithology, has been more streamlined. There is now an OK and Cancel button on the bottom of the editor to either save back to the database or cancel the changes. The Save button is not shown but if the user wants to write out to a text file they can still choose Save from the menu. Bug Fixes RockWorks no longer starts in the previous project if Select Project on Startup is selected on Preferences menu. The Highest Probability solid modeling algorithm now returns the correct values instead of nulls. The Fence Location dialog now updates the map when selecting locations from an XY Pair table. The Rockplot3D Window will never be opened minimized. The RockPlot2D Export to RockPlot3D now uses the transparency options for both draped and floating diagrams. RockWorks will now allow NULL values for the "Collar Elevation". This change will allow the user to not enter a value for this field. Then when RockWorks looks to use the value for Collar Elevation, if it is NULL at that time, we would use the Elevation value in its place. This gives the user the ability to set the Collar Elevation to 0.0 if they want and for 0.0 to not behave as if the user did not enter a value. If they set one of the other tables to "measure depths from the Collar" and the Collar is NULL, that borehole would use the Elevation value in its place. The update of the field to nullable now also updates SQL Server databases. GeoTIFF Import now honors "No Data" data values, converting them to the assigned grid NULL value. This true for the default "No Data" value of -32768 and when the Geo Key Directory of GDAL_NODATA is set. P-Data | Histogram by Lithology no longer causes an Access Violation error when there is no Lithology and a Lithology Unit is chosen in the LithoTypes table under diagram options. The Peripherals / Color Legend / Title may now be edited if the Title checkbox is checked. The "Average" smoothing method for non-lithology modeling menus will no longer be switched to "Classification" after the Lithology Modeling menu has been used. The Hybrid grid modeling no longer generates an Access Violation error inadvertently introduced during the previous update. The text position for IData, IText, TData, Stratigraphy Text and Lithology Text in 2D Striplogs is now honored. Project Folder | New - Creating a project based a custom coordinate system using an EPSG code no longer adds the "+init" to the parameter string (the +init was invalid). When tilting or warping I-Data, T-Data, etc. models in conjunction with superface or subface model truncation, the program no longer produces strange gaps between the model and the truncation surface. Special thanks to Alison for taking the time to illustrate the problem within a Playlist. It shaved at least a day off the de-bugging. We recommend that Network license users install the RockWare Network License Administrator v. 1.15. Contact support at rockware.com for a link to the latest version. 4. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website today, with new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features: An option to perform smoothing last has been added to the solid modeling. An option has been added to the Borehole Operations / T-Data / Multiple Solids program menu that determines how the program will handle duplicate points with different g-values that have been obtained within the same sampling interval. The Horizontal and Vertical Resolution settings within the Solid Declustering menu may now be specified in map units as well as percentages of the project size. Added an option to the RockPlot2D/Export to Raster dialog to specify the output width in Inches or Centimeters. The Units and DPI options were moved from the Scale Factor Page because the DPI is used by all the Raster Exports and the Units are also used by the Width by Units. An option has been added to the Peripherals to plot Pattern Legends without the pattern lines. Import ASCII XYZG to Solid (MicroModel) can now choose the Null value to initialize the solid to and choose whether to resolve the nulls to a value from their nearest neighbor. An Include Border option has been added to the Billboard for Hydro, Production and Time-based billboard graphs. The Spatial Filtering for Z, Upper Surface and Lower Surface now apply to downhole Borehole labeling for Stratigraphy, Aquifers, I-Data and T-Data. Grid Import will import ESRI ASCII Grids that have X&Y dimensions specified to reference the Lower-Left corner of the Lower-Left cell or the center of the Lower-Left cell. Improvements: The local coordinates for the cursor are now displayed within the Grid Editor. An option to use faults for the color fill and contour lines has been added for Profiles, X-Sections and Projected Sections. The code used for generating contoured sections and profiles from solid models has been modified to provide much faster performance. Changed the calculation of line thicknesses from RockPlot2D to print, raster and PDF to provide slightly thicker lines in the output. Solid model smoothing can now be performed last to allow smoothing to include previous filters. In addition, the smoothing settings are now being set correctly for both pre and post smoothing. The Multiple RockPlot2D Files to PDF program now allow users to enter a scale for output allowing for the scaled display of unequal size diagrams in a PDF. This option will leave blank space around smaller diagrams. An option has also been added to specify output width in inches. Redesigned the menus for exporting from RockPlot2D to Raster and PDF, and Multiple Rw2D to PDF. The Image width in units and pixels are now linked to make them easier to understand and a Line Width Adjustment has been added to modify the appearance of lines in the output. The ModOps | Grid | Grid Math menu now uses the term "Grid" instead of "Model". Grid and Solid Metadata is now embedded in Rw3D files and can be viewed from the Info button that's available on the item Options dialog. The ability to save embedded grids and solids with metadata has been added. Bug Fixes Menus with Linear or density unit’s drop-down lists will read and write to the ini settings file correctly. ReportWorks Printing when scaled to the output page now correctly locates Legends and Text, and scales Line Widths. The Sector Width and Sector Height within the IDW Advanced / Closest In Sector sub-menu are now interpreted properly. Previous versions would increase the selection by one level (e.g., 30 degrees would be incremented to 45 degrees). The Grid to Flow Table program now offers Ledger Output Options instead of outputting to the Utilities Data Sheet. Printing from ReportWorks to a page with different dimensions then the document now correctly scales line widths and places text accurately. When reassigning or reprojecting the project's coordinates, the Borehole Manager units are updated with the correct label (feet/meters) The help in the Lateral Geo-Steering was not showing the second time the dialog was shown. Imported Surfer Binary grids now calculate the Y Spacing correctly. Solid | Import | ASCII file - The header was not being parsed correctly. The automatic creation of Subface and Superface grid makes sure that the grid Distance Filter is turned off to avoid unexpected solid filtering caused by the grids. Exporting color legends from RockPlot3D to SketchFab Obj now honors settings for order, label interval, scientific notation, prefix and postfix labels. Opening a RockPlot3D file in a non-project folder with associated files no longer prompts the user to find the files. The program will no longer attempt to display the model if the Cancel button is clicked when viewing a declustering report for solid modeling. In the Borehole Manager, data tabs the user may define additional fields. If the additional field is a Value List, a new button allowing editing the list became visible. This button now shows list for more than just 2 Value List fields. The T-Data / Multiple Solids program will now stop processing if an error is encountered and the user selects the Cancel option. RwGrd file created through the Map | Borehole Map program shows elevations. The Z Filter and Surface Filters in the Spatial Filter are now activated for the Borehole Map function. Users can now select the Manual setting for borehole resolution in the Preferences dialog. The Borehole Survey program now sets the origin correctly. When specifying a CRS (Coordinate Reference System) using the Other option, one can specify a pre-defined system (like espg:2229) that has linear units other than international feet or meters (U.S. Surveyors foot for espg:2229). This could introduce inaccurate results for some operations. RockWorks will now warn about this. RockWorks also looks up these units from the definitions for better reporting. We recommend that Network license users install the RockWare Network License Administrator v. 1.15. Contact support at rockware.com for a link to the latest version. 6. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website today, with many new features, improvements, and bug fixes. No rest for the programmers! The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features: The ModOps | Volume | Ore Grid program now includes options for specifying the classification terminology that is used within the Geologic Resource and Economic Reserves reports (e.g. Measured vs. Proven, Probable vs. Indicated). Eleven new symbols have been added to the raster symbol library. The names of the grid files used to generate a RockPlot3D surface are now shown within the data "tree" along the left side of the RockPlot3D dialog. Users can now copy a data object in the RockPlot3D scene and paste it into scene as a duplicate object. A new option titled "Manual Labeling" has been added to the Peripherals | Color Legend sub-menu The ModOps | Solid menu contains a new program titled “Paper Solid”, used to create images that can be cut, folded, and glued to create three-dimensional paper models. Added the option to filter/select boreholes by Well Construction. This could be useful when selecting wells that have Screened intervals, or Monitoring wells. The Add Points option that was available within RockWorks17 has been reinstated to the Solid Model Special Options menu. A number of new infrastructure objects/parameters have been implemented: Pit, Depth, Height Multiplier, Opacity. You can now sort by date within the datasheet. Data in the column that cannot be converted to a date will cause that row to be sorted to the bottom. Improvements: Gridding Options: You can now specify the replacement value for nodes that are clipped via the Polygon option. Borehole Manager | File | Export | P/T/I-data | All Tracks: Now have Spatial filter (and Time). The Setup | Preferences | Warnings menu offers disabling of Web Browser error messages. The color scheme menu that is used for plotting 2D grid contours, 3D grid surfaces, and 3D block models now has options for using the existing lithology and stratigraphy types tables The Solid Layer -> Grid program now includes options that define the direction of the vertical slices (e.g. west to east versus east to west). Legends are now included with the Wavefront Obj (Sketchfab) export in RockPlot3D. Non-applicable options are no longer displayed within the Solid Model Special Options menu based on the currently selected algorithm. Options have been added for saving and retrieving the configuration of the Multi-Range Color Table Maker, making it easier to share with other projects. Setup - Preferences | User Interface: User may turn off Show Hints separately from the Abstracts. An option to reuse an existing RockPlot3D window has been added to the Save tab of the Output 3D form. RockPlot3D now stores and uses relative file paths for images, making it easier to transfer projects. Bug Fixes Borehole Manager | File | Import | Kansas Geological Survey - Fixed an error importing TD. Custom Colors are remembered more readily between different color drop-downs on the same page and from session to session. The Interpolate Outliers option for Lithology Models now is applied. Spurious 2D contours are no longer drawn within flat regions. Importing Shape files that have polylines with multiple parts into the RockWorks Datasheet now retrieves the correct record for each point. When installing a new build of RockWorks the settings for Coordinates | Decimals were being saved from the defaults for the screen controls before they were read from the ini file. The early saving has been circumvented, the screen control's defaults changed. The Inverse-Distance-Weighting Isotropic algorithm can now model negative values. Numerous fixes to the Delete key handling. If a person was set to use local help and they downloaded the latest version of RockWorks, it will now unpack correctly. Borehole Manager - File | Backup Database: if Quickmap is active then an Access Violation error is no longer raised. 7. A new version of RockWorks2021 was uploaded to the RockWare website today, with many new features, improvements, and bug fixes. We've been busy! The RockWorks Revision History has a complete list, by date, of all changes in the program. New Features Point symbol maps, borehole location maps, stereonet maps now offer raster symbols in addition to the standard RockWorks vector symbols. They can be uniform, column-based, or table-based. Raster symbol capabilities have been added to many other programs as well: 3-D | SpherePlot | 2D Spherical – Point 3-D | SpherePlot | 2D Cylindrical – Points Planes | Stereonet Stats | Scattergram Stats | Ternary Raster symbols are a new graphic type in RockPlot3D Added new table type "Raster Symbol Range" to Map/Models Tables. Data Dictionary version increased to 37. A new menu option titled "Traverse Defined By ..." has been added to all of the programs that create sections. If the "Interactive Map" setting is selected, these programs behave just like the used to, meaning that the section location is selected via the Section Location tab at the top of the menu. The new "List ..." options provide a way to define the sections based on ASCII text files that contain either a list of Borehole IDs or XY coordinates. Users can now generate vertical scales for profiles and sections using depth below a Datum. Vertical axis annotations for sections and profiles permit different left and right axis settings. For example, one axis might display elevation and the other depth from a datum. You can block copy the settings from one axis to the other Vertical axis annotations for sections and profiles include a new Vertical Offset setting which allows for "fine-tuning" the endpoint label positions. The Lithology | Solid Model | 3D Solid Diagram | Block Diagram | Filter now includes an option to select a given lithology (based on the Lithology Table) and use its G-Value to set the Minimum and Maximum Visible G-Value settings. This eliminates the hassle of switching back to the Lithology Table to look up the G-Value for a unit of interest. A new program titled "Drape Grid" has been added to the ModOps | Grid menu. This program will create a 3D color contour map in which the elevations are based on an “elevation grid” while the colors are based on a different grid (e.g., geochemistry). A new program titled "Multivariate Grid Map" has been added to the ModOps | Grid menu. This program will use two to five grid models to create multivariate pie chart or star burst maps in which the size of an individual slice or petal represents the average cell value from the associated grid within the vicinity of the diagram A new program titled "Grid Math" has been added to the ModOps | Grid | Math sub-menu. It consolidates the previous Grid & Constant, Grid & Grid, Add Multiple Grids, Multiply Multiple Grids, Absolute Grid, and Grid Sieve programs (which have been moved to the Utilities | Misc. | Obsolete menu to provide backward-compatibility with older versions of RockWorks Playlists.) A new program titled "Solid Math" has been added to the ModOps | Solid | Math sub-menu. It consolidates the previous Solid & Constant and Solid & Solid programs (which have been moved to the new Utilities | Misc. | Obsolete menu to provide backward-compatibility with older versions of RockWorks Playlists.)A new program titled "Solid & Grid" has been added to the ModOps | Solid | Math sub-menu. This program is used to perform mathematical operations on a solid model based on corresponding grid values. A new “Coal” tutorial case study project folder has been added to the RockWorks Data folder. This project folder includes a PDF (Coal Evaluation Case Study Using the RockWorks Playlist) that describes the example Playlist which processes a RockWorks datasheet with 583 boreholes in order to identify the areas in which three coal seams meet a variety of criteria including overburden thickness, interburden thickness, BTU, sulfur, and ash. A new program titled “HTML Builder” has been added to the Misc pulldown menu. This program creates an HTML file based on a list of images and image captions. The intended purpose of this program is to provide a means for organizing and concatenating all of the images that are generated by a RockWorks Playlist into a file that can be displayed within a web browser or edited within Microsoft Word to produce a final report. The RW17 Fault Contours to Fault Surface program has been added to RW20 and modified to Import the fault contours to a 3D fault in the Fault table. Added Project_Cmd to be able to set the project in the Playlist or a command script. Improvements The Playlist shows which step is being processed. The RockWorks20 installer includes the Microsoft Visual C++ The "Loading" menu that appears when an application menu is being loaded now displays a gauge that shows the loading process. A similar gauge is also displayed within the Playlist when an item is being saved. The Geobody program includes options for specifying cutoff volumes in terms of project units (e.g. cubic meters) and displaying a message if none of the geobodies exceeds the threshold. The Borehole Manager | Edit | Adjust Elevations From Grid program provides options for setting the collar elevation to the new ground surface elevation, for offsetting the existing collar elevations based on the ground elevation changes, and for not adjusting the Collar elevations at all. The maximum Vertical Exaggeration within the 3D diagram Export menu has been changed from 10 to 9999. Items in RockPlot3D can now be offset in the X and Y directions as well as Z. It is now possible to specify directions between -360 and +360 degrees when specifying the offset direction for parallel profiles. The Utilities | Maps | Lineations/Arrows program now includes color options for the endpoint labels. The Datasheet | Filter | Remove Disabled program is now orders of magnitude faster and the screen doesn't incessantly flicker during the process. Imports into the Datasheet automatically assigns the input filename as the Datasheet filename (with .rwDat extension). If this filename already exists in the folder the user will be prompted for a new name. Text, CSV and Excel Datasheet imports allow the setting of datasheet column types and units. These new settings are stored in the ini file and can be set/edited in a Playlist Since the improvement in the Datasheet import of CSV files allowed multiple lines and quotation marks in a field, The Save and Open a datasheet will now also allow these improvements. A number of changes have been made to the ModOps | Grid | Import | Bitmap program, including importing large GeoTIFF images, crop the data to the project dimensions, rescale the image pixels to the project dimensions cell size, accommodate image dimensions in a corresponding World file that are expressed in a different coordinate system. ModOps - Solid | Filters | Tunnel Clipping and Borehole Clipping now accept (and default to) the RockWorks null value. The ModOps | Solid | Edit - As Block Model program is no longer limited to 100 points when defining the vertices of a replacement polyhedron. Bug Fixes When selecting a profile or section points the user can have an image as a background to assist in selecting the points. (File | Options | Project Image Options) Draped images in RockPlot3D now clip the image when the image location is larger than the grid it's draped on. The Graphics | 2D Tools | Export | PDF | Single/Multiple program can add to Playlist with the Add to Playlist button. The ModOps | Solid | Extract Grids | Solid -> Total Ore Grid now accommodates solids that have null values. The Delete key now works on blocks of cells in the RockWorks Datasheet. ModOps | Grid | Drape grid, works with Custom Color Tables, honors assigned table name. Borehole Operations | Lithology | Multi-variate Map will now honor the Use Existing Model Option. Datasheet | File | Import | Excel, CSV and Text was freezing or reported a pointer error when defining column types and units. Importing into the datasheet from a text file with no header, no longer takes the first row as a title. The first row will appear as the first row in the Datasheet. Running a command script (RwCmd) from the command line or Windows File Explorer no longer causes RockWorks to load without any docked forms. In addition the command script will now be processed automatically. ModOps | Solid | Logic | Mass Calc: Missing parameter for density conversion has been added. ModOps | Solid | Extract Grids | Solid Layer -> Grid now uses the correct orietation. The color fill contours in Cross Sections and Profiles now honor the faults that are enabled in the Fault table. RockPlot2D no longer exports layers that are inactive to RockPlot3D. We recommend that Network license users install the RockWare Network License Administrator v. 1.15.
