What is your primary industry? (Required)

Primary program(s) of interest? (Required)

  1. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! New Features: A CLOSE command has been added to the command line batch processing that terminates the program after processing. The Total Depth can be displayed below the last Lithology Description using a macro where the # character is replaced by the Total Depth. The Total Depth will only be displayed if there is blank space between the last lithology description and the footer or base of the page. The Lithology Pattern columns can now replace the pattern background color with a specified Munsell Color. Users can simply enter the Munsell Color codes directly into the datasheet. If the code doesn't match the text will appear in red. Improvements: In the LogPlot data editor the width of Edit-Text Name column can now be resized. The Log Design snap grid is honored when resizing log body columns and header items. The Column Legend now has the option of a third line in a title. The Lithology column offers the option to plot the pattern foreground or background as a solid fill. Bug Fixes: The Alignment tool in the Log Designer now always works by selecting the item to be aligned too and then the item(s) that need to be aligned. Vertical Body lines will honor the base margin. The align options for all tools in the Log Designer work correctly when the Log Designer is in zoom mode. When working in the Log Designer with multiple Static and Edit Text items, you can use the >right click >Align tool and the selected items will align correctly. You can refer to the complete LogPlot revision list: https://www.rockware.com/rockworks/revisions/current_logplot_revisions.htm To download this build visit the LogPlot Free Trial tab (https://www.rockware.com/product/logplot/) where you can download the installation program and install the new build. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before February 2024, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  2. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! Improvement: Adjusted the positioning of symbols in the Symbol Legend which allows symbols to be drawn larger. Bug Fix: Multi-line text from the data page now compiles to the log showing all lines separately. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before December 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  3. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! Improvements: Interval Text that overlaps the end of a log page no longer plots only the second line of the text on the subsequent page. The base lines for Interval Text samples will now draw on a compiled log when the check box to Frame Sample is enabled. Users now receive an error message if a Histogram, a Curve, or a Legend is missing their color table. Bug Fixes: The Interval Text base lines are drawn when selected to show in the Interval Text Options dialog; Draw Line at Column Top + Base. The default text color for Column Legends is now always black. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before October 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  4. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! Improvement: The program was saving duplicate times when closing which caused violation errors, this issue is resolved. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before July 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  5. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! Improvement: The program to save to the RockWorks project as an XML file has been updated. The Save button saves the template info to where the template file name edit indicates, even if it is in a different folder. Bug Fixes: Added wrapping option for when a curve drops below the minimum range value. Compiled logs using the Column Outline tool in the log body section now load correctly. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before July 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  6. An updated version of LogPlot has been loaded to the RockWare website! New Features: The in-program batch files (.btsc8) can now be run from the command line. The batch dialog has been expanded to include both Save and Save As buttons. The LogPlot batch program now outputs the btc8 file in a more readable XML format. Improvements: Depth grids in curves, cross plots, and bar graphs can now be plotted in relation to elevation. Horizontal lines plotted with automatic intervals can also be plotted in relation to elevation. Log Designer property dialogs are now placed to minimize the overlap with their associated item. A footer to the bottom of the page margin has been added for logs compiled with page breaks. By default, this will be set to 0 for backward compatibility. Vertical Text can now be forced to display some amount of the text when the string is longer than the depth interval. This option was added to the LogDesign file when adding vertical text to the Log Body. Bug Fixes: The data editor now preserves multiple spaces entered within a cell while editing point data similar to a tab. The Unlocking code override works again. The inherited ancestor constructor was not being called. Borehole Construction patterns with a non-zero inner diameter now always plot the pattern. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before March 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  7. An updated version of LogPlot was loaded to the RockWare website! New Feature: A footer to the bottom of each page margin has been added for logs compiled with page breaks. By default, this will be set to 0 for backward compatibility. Improvements: Log Designer property dialogs are now placed to minimize the overlap with their associated item. Depth grids in curves, cross plots, and bar graphs can now be plotted in relation to elevation. Horizontal lines plotted with automatic intervals can also be plotted in relation to elevation. Bug Fixes: Well Construction patterns with a non-zero inner diameter now always plot the pattern. The Unlocking code override works again. The inherited ancestor constructor was not being called. 8. An updated version of LogPlot was loaded to the RockWare website! LogPlot is a separate installation from LogPlot 8. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before January 2023, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  9. An updated version of LogPlot was loaded to the RockWare website and includes the following: New Features: Update to file LogPlot8.xsd - Added the definition for ColorTable entries and adjusted some other values. The LogPlot ldat8 files are the same format for LogPlot8 and LogPlot 2022. This definition file requires the blocks be in a specific order that LogPlot does not require. LogPlot also does not require multiple blocks for a given type to be together, instead the order of the blocks determine the order of the pages in the data editor. Therefore the xsd file may not validate a perfectly acceptable ldat8 file. The LogPlot8.xsd is installed with LogPlot in C:\ProgramData\RockWare\LogPlot folder. Improvements: When importing RockWork's types into the Keyword editor you can now choose between the new entry and the current entry when there is a duplicate. The Keyword editor will also prompt you to save when exiting the dialog. Importing keyword information from a RockWorks database to LogPlot will import the keyword correctly formatted. Users can now create template to enable and disable features in the LAS Import. LAS Import now allows limiting the decimal places for floating point values from the "Options" tab. If the "Limit Decimal Places" is checked, the importer will limit the decimal places, otherwise they will be imported as is. Previously some floating point values were being truncated. Improvement to the File | Save to RockWorks DB, Options window: The template, file name edit, now changes the file name to use the current folder and allows the browse function to accept a file name that does not exist. The Curve column can now be displayed with Symbols and Fill. Note: Use high luminosity colors to keep the background light. Better auto-populating when creating a Batch File; the LPT and PDF file names are filled-in based on the data file name. Bug Fixes: Logarithmic value grids will now plot correctly as long as the minimum value is 1 or less. Using the keyboard Page Up and Down will work even when the focus is on the View Options. You can also refer to the complete LogPlot revision list: https://www.rockware.com/rockworks/revisions/current_logplot_revisions.htm To download this build visit the LogPlot Free Trial tab (https://www.rockware.com/product/logplot/) where you can download the installation program and install the new build. LogPlot 2022 is a separate installation than LogPlot 8. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before December 30, 2022, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales. Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  10. An updated version of LogPlot2022 was loaded to the RockWare website and includes the following: New Features: Finalized adjustments to Column Legend vertical text to allow centering when high dpi settings are used in exports. LogPlot Curves now wrap when the values go below the minimum value of the range. Improvements: Improved the centering of descending text in the Column Legend in both the LogDesigner and LogView. Users can now add a second line for Titles they wish to show in the Header Column. In the footer, users can display static text or a static note. These items of interest are chosen by using a macros menu in the set up dialog. An option to show scale for the log has now been added to the macro list. Bug Fixes: The Keyword Import from RockWorks now allows you to select the RockWorks project folder and import the keyword. Importing keyword information from a RockWorks database to LogPlot will import the keyword correctly formatted. When importing RockWork's types into the Keyword editor you can now choose between the new entry and the current entry when there is a duplicate. The Keyword editor will also prompt you to save when exiting the dialog. Note that the software will not be automatically licensed if your maintenance has expired before September 30, 2022, and the software will be installed in trial mode. If you would like to renew your maintenance, contact RockWare Sales (sales@rockware.com) Katy Duncan RockWare Inc
  11. A NEW version of LogPlot2022 was uploaded to the RockWare website and includes the following: New Features: Added a Column Legend option to the Log Design Header that draws a rectangle around the title the user chooses. The rectangle will now move and size itself to a linked log body column. A body outline entity has been added to LogPlot and can be used to surround a depth bar or the entire log body. Users can choose a line style and color and optionally select a solid fill. The title in the Column Legend can now be oriented vertically, either descending or ascending. The new “Single Page” export option allows users to export a paginated log (with a header and footer on each page) as a single page PDF with the header and footer included at the top and bottom of the log. Improvements: The LogPlot Lithology Descriptions placements are now calculated all at once to improve the accuracy of description placement on long logs. While there is a slight increase in the display speeds initially, successive page displays are faster. LogPlot now uses the path of the existing file in the Save As dialog for Log Design, Log View, Data Edit and Template files. If the current file hasn't been saved the path will default to the Project Folder. LogPlot now retains the number of decimals originally entered for interval values displayed as text. Made adding additional fields to the Well Information and Parameters tabs of the LAS export easier and improved going to/from csv files. You can enter a non-breaking space in the RTF editor by typing either Alt+0160 or Alt+255. This depends on the setup of your computer and keyboard. (Non-breaking space has code point 255 decimal (FF hex) in codepage 437 and codepage 850 and code point 160 decimal (A0 hex) in codepage 1252.) Batch Files now store 9 Significant Digits for scale. Offset Lithology Description divider lines can now be drawn with an extended line to make their depth more readable. Users can import a LAS file that doesn't reference a well name in the file. Bug Fixes: Well Construction segments with a non-zero Inner Diameter draw correctly when a non-zero Offset is specified. The Lithology data editor no longer deletes entries that are missing a depth top as long as something has been entered on that row. Exported pattern fill on log body now more closely match the patterns on screen. The LogPlot raster exports are fixed to provide enough space and include the margins. LogPlot7 files with an entity name that ends in a space now loads correctly and will not produce an error. Single line point text using Center Align is centered correctly. LogPlot 2022 is a separate installation than LogPlot 8. 17. New versions of LogPlot8 (32-bit and 64-bit) were uploaded to the RockWare website today with the following changes: Improvements Batch Files now store 9 Significant Digits for scale. You can enter a non-breaking space in the datasheet editor by typing either Alt+0160 or Alt+255. This depends on the setup of your computer and keyboard. Bug Fixes Point Data (curves, text, etc.) with duplicate depths did not sort correctly. Now the data is tested for duplicate depths and if found the point data is not sorted. The background value grid for non one based logarithmic scales (eg. 0.2 to 2000) is now plotted correctly. Compiling selected RockWorks borehole records functions properly. Strange issues posting edited text back to the datasheet have been fixed. If a formatted description (e.g. Lithology description, Edit Notes) ended with some formatting like bold or a different color, once you left the editor the entire description would be assigned that formatting. Fixed so that the Font is now reset between the calls. Improved the RTF to HTML conversion in the data editor when editing text with formatting.
