  1. Stratigraphy Model Legend colors

    The colors are completely different for one layer (named WaterTable in the project) Project file and Rw3D file has been uploaded.
  2. I am building a model with I-Data and when I append the model to an existing 3D stratigraphy model, it sits on top of the stratigraphy model. I've uploaded my project files to the https://www.rockware.com/upload/ for reference.

    All of my grid files share the same project dimensions. How do I go about copying the surface grids to other surface grids?
  4. I am having the same issue with my lithology model. I want the top of my model to look like the surface of the constraining layer, but instead it's just flat. I have made sure that the project dimensions are all the same and I've resampled the constraining grid layers, but the top of my lithology model is just flat. I've tried all the above tips, but still not having any luck. When I open the grid file, the topography is clear, but the same topography is not reflected in the lithology model. I'm not sure what's causing the issue. My project files are uploaded to https://www.rockware.com/upload/
  5. I-Data model not matching Stratigraphy model

    I uploaded the I-data table to https://www.rockware.com/upload/ For some reason the model's top surface is 200 meters, while the project is only supposed to go as high as 50 meters.
  6. I am trying to build an I-Data model and have been tweaking some settings, but the process is taking way too long. Each time I go back and make a tweak to my settings (e.g. changing the solid modeling options), the process takes over 20 minutes to complete and uses 100% of my computer's cpu resources. I have filtered my boreholes to only those that I-Data (84 total) and there are over 54,000 sampling points between all the boreholes. Is this an excessive amount of sampling intervals? Is there any way that I can speed up the processing time?
  7. Is it possible to drape Google Earth Imagery on top of topographical surface layer in 3D model? I am currently using a USGS topoquad that's been converted to .tiff file, but the imagery is out-of-date and the imagery from Google Earth is more up-to-date. If possible, I'd like to use the more up-to-date imagery.
  8. I am trying to model some subsurface walls that are being treated as Faults in my 3D model. However, I noticed that the "Faults" are not affecting the shape and extent of the plume. My plume looks the same whether or not I choose "Faulted" from the "Additional Options" menu in the Solid Modeling Options wizard. Also, my plume is not very smooth and has a streaking effect. I'd like to make it look smoother. I've tried using several different Modeling Algorithms and settings within each algorithm, but not looking any better. Could this be because I am using p-data model? The plume also extends to areas with no control points, even if I set the lower iso-level value to just above zero. I've uploaded my project to the Rockworks uploads for reference.
  9. How do I go about setting the default color scheme for 3D models in Rockworks? Each time i change it to the color scheme that I like, it changes back a default color scheme every time the model is recreated. I'm sure this is an easy setting somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you
  10. I am trying to create 3D Strip Logs, and when I run the utility I get an error that says: "Nan is not a valid number". I am using Rockworks 17. I would attach my tables to this forum but it says that "Your aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" (I am trying to upload excel table.) Thank you
  11. I am trying to build 3D structural elevations and a 3D model from my Stratigraphic layers. I keep getting the error that "This program requires at least 3 data points". I have way more than 3 data points for each individual layer and I've played with the settings in the gridding options. I can't seem to figure out what's causing the issue. Any ideas? Thank you
  12. Faulting

    I am working through the tutorial data that comes with Rockworks 17 and trying to incorporate 3D faults into my block model. I am able to use the tutorial data fault datasheets to create 3D fault files just fine. However, I want to create a fault that begins well below the surface elevation, so I've changed one of the datasheet file's z value column to a lower elevation, but one still within the project dimensions. The fault file is being created and I can view the 3D ribbon, but whenever I enable the faulted feature in the stratigraphy model, nothing happens. How do I make a fault that starts underneath the ground surface?
