  1. I am interested in dual porosity (or dual permeability) flow between two porous media. Using MINC, I can define the material properties of the "fractured" media to be whatever I want, even lower permeability than the matrix. This leads to me think that the "fractured" media is not necessarily composed  fractures, but can be any media. Is this correct? I only see MINC used for fracture flow in the literature, so I get the impression I'm in error. Thank you.

  2. Is it possible to output tracers, NCGs, etc. as concentrations or densities instead of mass fractions? I'm using EOS7C, but I think this would apply to any multicomponent model. Right now, if I specify 0.1 gas saturation and initial condition of one component in the gas phase, my output is 0.99999 mass fraction of that component. If I set gas saturation as 0.5, the output is almost the same: 0.99999 mass fraction of that component, even though the system actually has 5x as much. How can I get my output to reflect these differences?

  3. Hello Wise Ones,

    Is there a way to plot and/or export data from temporal plots similar to the Cell History Plots, but for a plane, boundary, or row of cells instead of a single cell? For example, I'd like to find the mass of methane that leaves the top boundary of my domain through time. The only way I can see to do this is to select the entire top row, export cell history, and sum all the cell data. Is there an easier way?

  4. If you don't mind looking, I'd appreciate it. The parameters and geometry of the model are based on the second example in the EOS7C User's Guide. I'll email you the sim file. I'm planning to inject methane through the injection cell, but not until I get initialization with very little methane figured out.

    I'm have trouble figuring out the EOS7C initial condition options. For two-phase modeling, the options are pressure (Pa); Brine Mass Fraction; NCG Mass Fraction; Tracer Mass Fraction; Gas Saturation; and Temperature © (Properties/Initial Conditions menu).

    Is the idea that pressure is used to control water saturation? Also, what exactly is "gas" saturation? Does it include NCG and methane combined? I tried trial and error to figure it out, and was confused when I input a gas saturation of 0.01 and my model started with a methane mass fraction near 0.98. I would like to get zero methane, residual water saturation, and mostly nitrogen (NCG) for initial conditions.
