  1. Modflow Export

Hello, Im asking if its possible to export an 3D lithology model to VModflow or GMS. I find in an article that is possible to export the medel into a slices. "For building the groundwater flow model of study area, the composite lithologic model (model 5) is used as it represents the overall configuration of study area. To obtain a well defined representation of lithologic materials, the composite lithologic model is exported as slices of 5 meters thickness. The total slices exported are found to be 36 slices which will require the MODFLOW grid discritization to be 36 layers in the vertical direction whereas the horizontal grid configuration will remain the same as used in the lithologic models. The lithologies are extracted in terms of their thickness and topography for each surface of the slices" Attached the link of the article HELP please (hhttp://www.hydrolica.com/home/papers/Using%20lithologic%20modeling%20techniques.pdf)

  3. Floating point division by zero problem

Hi, What is the solution to this bug? I am also having this problem!
  4. Help!

ok Sir i receive your e-mail, i understand that the model is divided in grid every grid present a X, Y, Z with Z is the G-value ( in my case i have 161 layer every layer have a 5 m of thickness), i can export each layer as an ASCII XYZ file (where Z represents material type), but the problem how put that in Modflow (Modflow flex) and how the software will know which elevations of each layer?
  5. Help!

Thank you Alison, I am very grateful for your help I will send this article.
  6. Help!

Thnks Sir, I am asking about exporting all the model to modflow , for building the groundwater flow model of study area, because im working in a alluvial aquifer and i use the technique of "Using Lithologic Modeling Techniques for Aquifer Characterization and Groundwater Flow Modeling", i find in a study that its possible to export the composite lithology model as slices as shown in the figure below!
  7. Help!

i have a tow questions! First is it is possible to clip a polygon filter to a fence model? Second How i can export my lithology model to Modflow or GMS!! Thanks
  8. Upper and lower surface Grid

Hi, I want to ask how i cant put a topography Grid in the upper of the model and a substratum Grid in the lower surface, i use a lithology model filtred with a polygon image 1, i try to use a 3D grid of topography but wj=hen i try to put it in the model (Manuel Upper surface (Grid) filter) RW show a bug report " Floating point division by zero" Any idea? Thanks
  9. Lithology Model

    yes Sir thank you
  10. Lithology Model

Hi, I build a 3D lithology Model composed of sand, clay, and sandy clay , i know that is possible to divided this model in different sub-model of clay or sand. I want to ask if it is possible with RW to take one of this sub-model Sand for example and divided the lithology units in this model to sub-units like gross sand ,gravel etc. Thnks
  11. Polygon Filter

Hi, I use a lithology model and i want to filter my model to the study area as a polygon, i cant find a solution to plot this polygon directly to the lithology model, i can use the solid model but the result it seems false with not the same color of lithology legend and i can't undersatnd why the top and the bottom are colored with pink? image 1: area of stude the polygon witch i want to used image 2: all lithology model image 3: Sold model filtred buy the polygon So i asked if i can use a filter directly in the lithology model ans if it is not possible how i can get a solid right solid model with the same characteristic of the lithology model in color and visibility?
  12. Model dimension !!

Thanks Sir, that's worked but i cant find the way to change the color of the solid model with the same of the lithology legend, and i want to ask to if i can plot the topography to my model with rivers and other reliefs.
  13. Model dimension !!

Hi, is it possible to define the modeled dimension into a polygon, I don't want to model all the cube defined with the project, the picture below is my study area I do not want the lithological model passes below the mountain, so i asked if i can set a limit of the model with drawing a polygon with my choice.
  14. litholgical Modeling

Hi, i have a problem with my lithological modeling, when i try to use all the borehole in the same project i cant find a good results (image 1) but when i takes only the boreholes that will be used in the cross section i find what i want (image 2). I can used the second way but the problem that i can not make a model with a separate project, So were is the problem and why the results are different ? I know that the information in the 2 ways are different but the problem that when i use all the information of the project the cross section are not true. NB: In the 2 cross section image 1 and image 2 the same wells are used.
  15. Help!

thanks a lot Sir i'm so grateful, i will check that out .
