    Tom I apologize for the long delay in replying to you. I have uploaded a DWG file associated with the files I previously uploaded. I believe I originally sent you (07005.09 - 2Q 2013 - Test & Test_1), which were DXFs for upper and lower saturated units at a site. The file name is 07005.09 - Fig. 1 - Site Map. It is an old map that was poorly created (which may be part of my problem) but it is the best we have without having to resurvey the entire site. Thanks again

    Tom I suppose my initial question was quite vague on details. I have uploaded 2 files to Rockworks (07005.09 - 2Q 2013 - Test and 07005.09 - 2Q 2013 - Test_1). When imported into CAD, it does not scale properly and is plotted very distant from the map. Thanks for the help.

    I would like some assistance with exporting contour maps to AutoCAD. No matter the scale I set in RockWorks, the imported DXF does not match up with the CAD map. To force the fit in AutoCAD, I have to set a reference point and use the distances between two points to determine the appropriate scale. Thanks for the assistance.
  7. Best algorithm for benzene plume modeling

    Tom Revisiting an old topic. Can you give examples of when I should use a T-data surface map over a plan map, and vice versa? I have a system of monitoring wells, all screened around the same interval, with several years of T-data for benzene. The interval I used for the spreadsheet is the screened interval, since I treat the groundwater samples as sort of a composite of all the formation water within that screen. I am unsure what slice from the plan map is an accurate representation of the impacts. The grid I use was created from surface elevations. How does the grid factor into the modelling? Thanks Stephen

    How should I account for having two elevations for each monitoring well (ground surface, top of casing) when creating different models? Aquifer models use top of casing, lithologic sections use ground surface. Currently I use the top of casing elevations in creating a surface grid but that causes display issues when creating a lithologic section. Thanks Stephen

    Is there a way to export a compiled Log directly to a PDF? Currently, the route I take is to export as a JPEG, add it to an already existing PDF, then print to PDF to normalize the scale for all documents. Thanks
  11. Borehole analytical I-data

    The groundwater samples are usually collected using a bailer following purging a set amount of volume from the well so I think of them as a composite of the water column without a set depth. If using low flow, the pump intake is placed in the center of the screened interval so I treat that as sampling an interval. The screened interval is usually set below the top of the saturated zone and, when not in drought conditions, the water column does extend above the screened interval.

    When entering borehole analytical data, is it better to use the depths of the water column or depths of the screened interval as "depth1" and "depth2".
  13. I am creating a profile diagram between 2 wells for DNAPL concentration. One well has I-data down to 90 feet and the other one only has data down to 80 feet. Is there a way to restrict the 80 to 90 foot area so that the lack of data is represented? I would still like to show some of the contours from the well with 90 foot data so I was thinking something like a sloped line in between the wells that cuts off the contours. Thanks -Stephen

    Tom Does the order in which you add construction types in the spreadsheet create an order in which they are displayed? Back to my original problem (and hopefully a quicker solution), when I insert a electrode from 59.0 to 60.0 in the spreadsheet, then a PVC riser from 50.0 to 60.0, the riser hatch pattern covers the electrode hatch pattern. Is there a way to bring the electrode hatch pattern to the front so that is always displayed?

    Thanks Tom. I wasn't really sure how to explain how I wanted the electrodes to appear. The electrodes were attached to the outside of the well and I wanted to display them that way. What I came up with is to break up the casing where it encounters a electrode i.e. say the casing is from 50 to 60, electrode is at 58. So I now the casing is from 50 to 58, electrode from 58 to 58.5 then casing from 58.5 to 60. I hope that is a better explanation. Thanks for the help
