EOR Analysis – Enigma Field, Wyoming (Tensleep Formation)

Andres Fernandez at the University of Wyoming has kindly given us permission to show some of the graphics that he created using RockWorks17. Andres’ work is centered on optimizing production and revenue using the Enigma field as a case study.

Figure 1. Raster geo-locations of wellbores. Also showing placements of water injectors and oil producers, open (white) and closed (black) rasters, respectively.

Figure 2. Showing one of the highest water producing wells, cumulative water production throughout life of well. Explains injected water formation flow to North and South of field.

Figure 3. Average daily production during an 8-year period beginning 1 year prior to central-field ASP flooding.

Figure 4. Average daily production during a 5-year period beginning 1 year prior to water flood. Water flood EOR still running since 1992.

Figure 5.Average daily production of oil. Showing, also, how water injection boosted production, especially for well API4320677.

Figure 6. Average daily production of oil. Showing, also, how water injection boosted production, especially for well API4320677.

Figure 7. Used the production panel option through Google Earth/Rockworks17 due to its visual appeal. In this case showing Average Daily Water Production.

Thanks Andres!
