ArcView 8.3 GIS software: new features |
The ArcView 8.3 release represents the next major step forward for the ArcGIS suite of products (ArcReader, ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo, ArcGIS extensions, and ArcSDE) with a host of new features and major enhancements in overall performance, quality, and documentation. Existing ArcView users with current maintenance automatically received the ArcView 8.3 update at no additional charge.

The following new extensions are available for ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo 8.3:
ArcGIS Survey Analyst: ArcGIS Survey Analyst lets users manage survey data in a GIS database and represent survey measurements and observations on a map.
ArcScan for ArcGIS: ArcScan for ArcGIS provides a powerful and easy-to-use set of tools for raster to vector data conversion.
ArcGIS Tracking Analyst: ArcGIS Tracking Analyst provides capabilities for sophisticated visualization, exploration, and analysis of time-related data.
