The Geochemist's Workbench release 6 offers a large number of enhancements and improvements over previous releases:
- All 3 versions, Essentials, Standard, and Professional, now include the ability to automatically process multiple samples from a spreadsheet or text file.
- The remaining new features in GWB 6 all apply to the Reactive Transport Modeling capabilities of Professional:
- Variable node spacing ("telescoping grid")
- Flexible boundary conditions on all sides of the domain
- Ability to import the flow field as table
- Ability to import flow fields from Modflow models
- Polythermal initial conditions
- Ability to hold temperature at each node constant, even in polythermal runs
- Ability to specify a heat source internal to the domain
- In-line tables with node-by-node editor
- Separate discharge, head drops, inlet temperatures for two reaction intervals
- GWB Essentials and Standard version 5 users may download an electronic upgrade to version 6 at no cost!
