Encom PA - integrate, analyze and visualize geophysics, geochemistry and geology data from various sources
New Features

Encom PA v12

In this release, Encom PA focuses on coordinated system projection support, making it easier to work with datasets in profiles, sections, two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional displays regardless of their original projection. Some additional processing tools and display improvements have also been implemented to assist with interpreting geophysical data.

Features in this release of Encom PA include:

Map Projection Support for All Data Types
  • View the coordinate system for a loaded data object.
  • Detect and apply a defined coordinate system for a Geosoft GDB database whenever a GI file is present, or manually apply a coordinate system.
  • Re-project data objects in 2D Map and 3D displays so these data types can be viewed without the need to edit individual files.
  • All data utilities now support coordinate system information for the input data formats. Projection information in the input data file is propagated to the output data format unless a new coordinate system is specified.

New Processing Tools
  • Compute TEM Tau (Decay Constants)  for EM Data.
  • Storae Decay Constants in the Feature Database.
  • Correct magnetic values with the Diurnal Corrections Tool.
  • Import Maxwell(TM) EM Plates from EMIT Maxwell(TM) software in PA Pro.
  • Use the new high-resolution IGRF Map for magnetic field calculation prior to filtering grid data.
  • Specify synthetic flight lines for the Flight Path Simulator with a 2D vector file.

Improved Tools for Working with Data
  • Use the new content-driven menu system to more easily find tools and improve your workflow.
  • Version information embedded in the session identifies the version to use when loaded into an older version.
  • Open all grid file types from the Data Manager.
  • Zoom with the mouse scroll wheel for improved profile digitizing and anomaly picks.
  • Choose from an enhanced list of date and time formats.
  • Automate label drop-outs for all labels in profiles and 2D maps.
  • Attribute multiple objects with any coincident voxel cell values.
  • Clip a voxel model to one or more vector volumes.
  • Convert one or more polyhedron volumes to a voxel model.
