New Versions
Visual MODFLOW 2010.1
Professional Groundwater Flow & Contaminant
Transport Modeling
Visual MODFLOW's three-dimensional
groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling
capabilities are trusted and used by more
groundwater professionals than any other modeling
software in the world. With the ability to
simulate groundwater and surface water interactions
and to calculate changes to
groundwater chemistry, you now
have a complete set of tools necessary for
addressing water quality, groundwater supply, and
source water protection initiatives.
Here's a sampling of what's new in Visual MODFLOW
2010.1:
Import MODFLOW Packages:
+ Save time by importing MODFLOW packages directly
into your existing Visual MODFLOW project: HFB1,
HFB6, DRN, CHD, RIV, GHB, LAK, and WEL. Import your
Zone Budget input file as well.
Import/Export tools:
+ Import/export grid and properties in layer, row,
column format
+ Import/export boundary conditions in layer, row,
column format for Constant Head (CHD), Drain (DRN),
River (RIV), General Head (GHB), Wall (HFB), and
Lake (LAK)
GIS Integration:
+ Import boundary conditions in Shapefile format for
Constant Head (CHD), Drain (DRN), River (RIV),
General Head (GHB), Wall (HFB), and Lake (LAK)
+ Export numerical grid to points Shapefile
+ Export numerical grid with attributes to polygon Shapefile
Simulate Lakes:
+ Visual MODFLOW now supports the LAK3
package allowing you to more efficiently and
effectively simulate lakes and how they interact
with the aquifer within your model.
Simulate Evapotranspiration:
+ The new ETS1 Package
allows simulation of evapotranspiration with a
user-defined relation between evapotranspiration
rate and hydraulic head.
