Program Updates
Surfer 10
Update of this popular contouring program
Surfer quickly and easily converts your data into outstanding contour, surface, wireframe, vector, image, shaded relief, and post maps. Virtually all aspects of your maps can be customized - producing publication quality maps has never been quicker or easier.
Surfer Features:
+ Load maps in any map projection, and covert between projections
+ Contour Maps give you full control over all map parameters
+ 3D Surface Maps use shading and color to emphasize your data features
+ 3D Wireframe Maps provide an impressive three dimensional display of your data
+ Vector Maps show direction and magnitude of data at points on a map
+ Image Maps use different colors to represent elevations of a grid file
+ Shaded Relief Maps use different colors to indicate suface slope and slope direction relative to a light source

RockWorks15: Create Filtered, Transparent Contour Overlays
Use RockWorks15 to create stunning map overlays, taking advantage of layer transparency and contour value cutoff options.
+ Use the RockWorks Imagery / Raster -> RKW tool to import a raster image such as an aerial photo. (Or use the Rectify tool for more rotation, clipping options.) Save this.
+ Use any of the RockWorks15 tools to create a color contour map, such as I-Data / Plan Map or I-Data / Statistics Map. Set the minimum contour level to the desired cutoff. Save this.
+ Use RockPlot's File / Append tool to append the filtered contour map to the aerial photo.
+ Double-click on the contour layer and set the opacity to 50%.
Voila!
